Donald Trump warns supporters will riot.
Every time this guy opens his mouth, a new low in American politics is reached. He's already threatened lawsuits if you publicly say he sucks (it's actually the only part of his platform with any real specifics).
What next, threats of cement shoes?
If they pull something shady like this, one of two things will happen.
1. Trump supporters simply won't vote
2. Trump decides he was treated unfairly by the party and runs as an independent
The guaranteed outcome of either of the above is Hillary being the next president.
First of all, it wasn't a threat. He was stating the obvious.
Second of all, He is not wrong. His supporters would be pissed, especially if Trump gets by far the most delegates and they give it to a clown like Mitt Romney or Paul Ryan. His supporters might riot, and rightfully so. That would NOT be democracy in action, it would be autocracy and a clear example of the subversive oligarchy that runs our nation. The riot doesn't have to be violent, it might just be a revolt in the sense of them not voting. Or it might be violent. Either way, it would get ugly and not in the best interest of the party, and his supporters would absolutely be justified in their actions.
The party overriding the vote of the people is actually a good reason to riot.

Only an idiot would think otherwise. It's supposed to be "We The People"..

Except it's not the vote of the people. Trump would still have a minority of the vote.
Donald signed up to a party without knowing the rules, in his typical bull-in-a-china-shop way, and may get zapped by them. Of course, maybe his supporters will take up arms against their party and riot, showing their rears, and then getting said rears handed to them by the rest of the country in the general election.
Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

A small Trump turnout will be more than enough to beat Shrillary.

Is it really a vote of the people, or only the vote of certain people?
Will the rallying cry of the rioters be "Nobody told us how this works!"?

Bernie supporters probably said the same thing when Hillary won six coin tosses in a row

Cool story, bro. Irrelevant, but cool.

They'll blame Obama for the Constitution.

Pretty much! There might be some other crap that Donald makes up to go with it about freedom or polls or winning or some other junk...

The truth is even stranger. They'll blame Obama for sure, but neither the Constitution nor the Leader of the Free World would be responsible. It would be the RNC which wrote the rules that Donald signed on to when he announced his candidacy as a Republican. Somehow, it will be Obama's fault for forcing the Rs to do things this way.
Somehow.

What if the GOP is actually comprised of Democrats? Would that be a moment worthy of Keanu?

Rightfully so? Since when did destruction of other peoples property become a rightfully so expression of policital disent?
I'm against a convention taking it away from trump if he has the most delegates he should get the nomination God help us. But to suggest the riots if he doesn't would be justified makes his supporters no better than the fergusun thugs.

You lose me here, revolt and riot are two separate things. You think its a reason to revolt organize and march on the feds armed if you must I'd respect it, you start destroying other peoples property in a riot your no better than the Chicago or Baltimore thugs.

Personally, I don't see the cold realization that the rules apply to your candidate as justification for either. Life's not fair, and Trumpies are going to find that out sooner or later when a brokered convention results in someone else being the GOP nominee.
I mean, instead of being a blowhard and threatening riots, why not threaten to do what the GOP really doesn't want him to: form a third party?

Trump will be the nominee, so don't sweat that other stuff.
