Lawson or try to trade down.

We would be in the pilots seat for a big time trade down. Who we would take depends on a lot of things.

Quote:Lawson or try to trade down.Absolutely.
We COULD be in a good position to trade back if one of two things happen at QB:
1) Cleveland somehow trades for a veteran QB and bypasses QB at 2, and two teams below us think only one QB is worth a top 5 pick, we may deal down then or;
2) Cleveland takes a QB at two, and two or more teams below us think there is only one QB remaining worth a top 5 pick.
As of now, my top 5 draft preferences for the Jaguars pick at #5:
A. Jack
B. Ramsey
C. Lawson
D. Bosa
E. trade down
I choose Lawson over Bosa because Bosa is not a LEO, though he has pass rush ability.

You say trade down for this person or that person, how do you know they will be there to where we trade down to?

Robert Aguayo.
Weapon.
Weapon.

I would trade down. Somewhere in the teens. There we could draft someone like Leonard Floyd or Kevin Dodd.

Some mocks have him in the late 1st

Quote:You say trade down for this person or that person, how do you know they will be there to where we trade down to?I did not specify a particular player when I advocated trading down.
At this point, I don't even know how far I'm talking about trading down.
If SF offered a deal and we traded down to seven, Lawson or perhaps even Bosa, could still be a viable proposition.
If the Rams were the trade partner, who knows who the target would be at 15.
Presumably, LEO would still be a huge need, but what if part of the consideration for dropping ten spots was Quinn?

I remember the 1999 draft.
Most observers had Ricky Williams as the #1 rated RB and a top 5 pick.
Bill Polian had Edgerrin James ranked higher. Polian took James.
As long as Dave has him evaluated correctly, he can be #1 on his board.

IF we would get screwed like that I'd trade out for a team needing a QB, if they wouldn't deal I'd take another QB out of spite and hold onto him for a future trade.

It never happens even in the absence of the win now mandate, but especially with the win now mandate Khan has given the team.
Taking a QB in the first round does absolutely nothing to strengthen this team this year.

Trade down for the biggest haul you can get

Lawson or Spence
Trading down would make the most sense, but if they are all gone, what incentive is there really for a team to trade up?

If that happens, I'd be horribly depressed lol. But I'd rather trade back for the best possible deal. Maybe late 1st and get another 1st next year and a late 2nd day pick. I wouldn't mind going Hargreaves, but since we got Prince and Gipson, I don't think we go that route in Rd 1.
GO JAGS!!
