The way that I see it is as follows and what the choices are for republican voters tomorrow.

Trump - pretty much the same as Bernie Sanders or Hillary Clinton.

Cruz - The "far right" choice that is anti-establishment and very conservative.

Rubio - A conservative with a proven track record of "reaching across the aisle" in order to actually get something done.

Kasich - Truly an "establishment" politician, but has a demonstrated and proven track record of actually improving matters.  He is more center than Rubio, and not as far right as Cruz.

In my opinion from left-to-right, a vote for Trump is pretty much a vote for the democrat party and is a disaster.  A vote for Kasich would be more-or-less "politics as usual".  I see him actually being a good and efficient President should he get elected.  A vote for Rubio would be some hope since he has conservative values and has demonstrated that he is willing to work across party lines in order to get things done.  A vote for Cruz is the "far right" choice in that I believe that he is the one "true conservative" in this race.

The thing is, the ideal candidate regarding ideology should lean more towards the center, whether it's a republican or democrat.  This isn't a "winner take all" kind of race.  A fringe candidate either on the far left or the far right is not going to get anything done period.  What is ideal is someone closer to the center.

The sad thing is that too many people on both sides of the aisle view this election much the same way as a contest such as "dancing with the stars" or some of the other "low information voter" type program.  The consequences of the eventual winner doesn't really matter to them.  They only want "their guy" to win.

People are so blinded right now that they don't see the difference between "Hope and Change" and the "I'll build a wall and make Mexico pay for it" rhetoric.  Let me stop and take that back for a second.  The "Hope and Change" slogan has now become "Make America Great Again".  There is no difference.  People that fall for this (in my opinion) are going to be the ones that take this country down, and they will choose their "leader", either Sanders or Trump.

Quote:Rubio yeah, but Cruz?! Last I'd heard, not a single GOP Senator has come out in favor of him, and that's knowing that door #2 is Trump. Ted Cruz has flaws, but being a veteran of the establishment is not one of them.
It's a fabricated myth that Cruz is anti-establishment.

He has connections to the TPP and he will continue to support trade agreements no matter what he is saying now to try to prove to everybody he isn't establishment.

His wife is part of the establishment too. Both are fake as can be if you watch them.

Speak for yourself. Please stop with the "UR ALL BLIND!" nonsense while casting a vote for Rubio, literally the biggest shill on the ballot.

9 trillion dollars in debt from GETTING THINGS DONE...  How's that working out for you?
Too many conservatives are hypnotized by Fox News. They are still buying the propaganda from a month ago that Rubiob is a swell guy.

First off, that article is wrong. The TPA and the TPP are two separate bills.

The TPA stipulates that a trade bill would have to be voted on by congress up or down without changes. It doesn't make it any easier to pass a trade bill, and probably harder since YES votes can't be bought with "Louisiana Purchase" type additions. It does speed up the process considerably, which is the selling point for the establishment.

Cruz voted against the TPP when it actually came up for a vote. His voting record is very anti-establishment. Sanders also voted against the bill. Rubio voted for it. Kasich wasn't there, but his record indicates he would have supported it. Trump, of course, has no voting record, but his campaign donation record leans heavily towards pro-establishment.

Come on cruz is more anti-establishment than trump and it's not even close.
These networks are working OT to trash Trump. Too bad their propaganda is backfiring.
Daaaaang, came to check out the political thread for once. BIG mistake. I didn't realize how many truly incompetent people there are on this forum that can celebrate a xenophobic, sexist, racist, and unintelligent man as the LEADER of the United States. His unconstitutional beliefs ALONE should make conservatives twinge. Yet I'm confident most Trump supporters couldn't explain the difference of what it means to be liberal or conservative. Truly very sad, I wish this aspect of Jville would change.
It is really sad.  I guess only the voters have the power to elect or to refuse Donald Trump.

Thank you for not contributing anything to the conversation aside from your ill informed, prejudicial ranting about concepts that are obviously too big for you.  I didn't realize you could post from a crayon box, but gosh technology just keeps getting better and better.

Hmm, no.  His wife has connections to globalist ideals.  He presents himself as the liberty vote, but he's not. He's fake.  Would rather vote for a jerk up front (Trump) than a snake in the grass phony (Cruz).

Somebody starts their post with "daaaaaang" and then claims intellectual superiority. lol

Quote:Do you have a plan for making Mexicans pay for the forum wall? Because I have a plan for making Trumpies pay for the wall. Everybody wants to know how I'm going to make Trumpies pay for the forum wall. Just a couple hours ago, someone on this very forum asked me if I had a plan for making Trumpies pay for it, and you know what I said to him? I said, "Of course I have a plan for making Trumpies pay for the wall around this forum." And I do, and it's a great plan. And that's why if you want to make Trumpies pay for a wall around this forum, I'm your guy. I'll make jaguars.com great again.
Slow clap.
Yes, because forum vernacular instead of forum ideal is the ultimate form of measuring someone's intelligence. Daaaaaayuuuum. I could waste my time debating you all on Trumps bankruptcies, trumps rhetoric, trumps steaks, trumps insanse levels of hypocrisy against himself, and trumps massive schlong, buuuuut it's not my job to educate u. As trump says himself "I love the poorly educated" so it's best you all stay that way. Have fun championing your supreme overlord!

You need to break the conditioning, brother. The MSM has a stranglehold on your free will. Stop falling for the psyops and yellow journalism on CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC and do some independent research. You might be enlightened (but I doubt it).

Thank u again for being too much of a coward to debate and too lazy to read through the methodical debunking of your talking points.
