Quote:As the guy who hates RB at 4 more than anyone, I truly hope the front office agrees with you. If there's one quote from Dave that I hope was honest more than any other this offseason, it's the one where he said he is very happy with Ivory and Yeldon as our 1a and 1b options for the running game.
There is plenty to like about the both of them. I can see Yeldon as a top backup RB in any scheme, and Grant as the perfect scat back. Like Yeldon, Ivory is no breakout threat, but an impressive blend of wiggle and power. Only Ivory is so hard-nosed and physical that he's managed to not only start in this league but also earn his now infamous label as the afc rushing leader one year.
I've seen Ivory blow defenders backwards carrying the football, and when I picture that I do see a guy capable of being a starting RB, but I also see an elite level FB. I drool at the thought of Ivory being on the field consistently, but as a FB in front of a guy like Fournette or McCaffrey. I'm picturing Ivory as the next Mike Alstott.
