Not sure how credible the information is, but it's interesting and seems logical. The info below is via twitter, I do think the Jags will trade down with a team moving up for a QB (NYJ/Cle) or a team moving up for a RB (Carolina who is reportedly infatuated with Leonard Fournette). The Jaguars are in a great spot because I believe all of the top QB's will be available at 4, which greatly increases the value of the slot. Draft night is going to be interesting, I see can see us targeting Forrest Lamp (who scouts are calling "special") or OJ Howard in a trade-down, and potentially targeting a RB or edge rusher at the top of the second. I expect the first 4 picks (in on particular order) to be OG/RB/TE/Edge

Teams in top 6 know browns will look trade up. Expect their target is Trubisky. Titans at 5 or Jags at 4 logical trade partner.

Speaking w/ Executive- If #Panthers want Leonard Fournette, better get ahead of Jets. Tom Coughlin & Dave Gettleman trade of 4 for 8 likely.

Right now I'd project Fournette goes in 4th slot, but Coughlin works out trade w/ old friend Dave Gettleman. Slides down to 8.

Jaguars brass salivating over Forrest Lamp. Won't go 4th overall, floor is 35 & I wouldn't be shocked see Jags trade up to secure their guy.

I hope this don't happen. I hope we sit right there at 4 and draft Fournette.
Trade back to 8 and take OJ Howard or McCaffrey.

I don't think they're taking Fournette at 4, a tradedown would be huge in a draft this deep. If the Jags are able to acquire an additional 2nd or 3rd round pick, that's like having an extra 1st/2nd rd pick in a normal draft. This draft is incredibly loaded at RB, no need to take a guy like Fournette at 4

I love the player but they're not taking Mccaffrey at 8, the Jaguars are reportedly "high" on Forrest Lamp. I think he's the target in a tradeown

#8 would be a good spot for OJ Howard or Lattimore or Jon Allen if he falls.

I think Lamp or Howard will be the targets in a tradedown, I like Jon Allen and Lattimore but we're already loaded at both of those positions. Lattimore and Allen(initially) would be part time players here, I'd have to think whoever we're selecting in the 1st round will fill a position of need.

I love the idea of trading down and adding a guy like Lamp. 4 to 8 would be a nice trade down too.

Why does it feel like the time leading up to the draft is creeping along? This needs to hurry up, I'm excited to see how this Coughlin/Caldwell dynamic plays out in comparison to previous years of solely Caldwell.

I'm not sure Carolina would take Fournette at 8 let alone trade up for him. But if so, I'd take that all day. Take Lamp or Howard or Robinson and call it good

Yea it sounds like Robinson is moving up draft boards well, given the importance/value of the position he plays it wouldn't surprise me if he goes in the top 10-12 picks. If one wants to see the value of LT just look at the contracts the below average/average LT's got on the open market this year, Robinson has a big upside as a run blocker and pass protector.

Yea the time in between the initial wave of FA and the draft drags by, I'm excited to have the Coughlin dynamic as well, he knows how to build a football team. I expect Tom/Dave to fortify the offensive line early in this draft, Lamp/Linder would be a dynamic combination in both the run and pass game.

I wouldn't put him at LT since we have Albert. Maybe at RT but I think he'd do well at guard

It all depends how quickly he's ready to man LT. If he comes in right away and is better than Albert then you move Brandon Albert to LG, this is an unlikely scenario though. If the Jags draft Robinson he'd likely play LG/RG and move him to LT down the line.

Agreed. He's gotta develop his footwork a bit more to play tackle.
I would love for us to trade down and select Lamp. That is my ideal draft.

There are so many guys that will be there at 8 that I'd love, if you add Lamp on top of that player ...not giving up much extra besides what we get for sliding down to 8, that would be pretty nice.

Who wouldn't really be happy with OJ Howard, Forrest Lamp, and Mixon over the first two days of the draft?
Would absolutely love a trade down. This is very good news if true.
I really hope T.C. and D.C. make this move. I remember one year when the Bears offered their 1st rounder for Brackens and T.C. demanded an extra pick. Turned out Brackens did nothing after that for the Jags and the Bears drafted Urlacher. Bottom line, if he gets Carolina's 1st 2nd rounder (40) for switching spots in the 1st he should take it. With the 8th pick, he'd have the option of several great prospects including Cook, Howard and maybe even Allen. Lamp would not be worth the 8th pick, especially when they could get Feeney or Dawkins with pick 35. Howard, Feeney and Kamura would be 3 nice additions to the offense in the 1st 2 rounds and they could follow this up with either a q.b. (Peterman/Webb) or a developmental pass rusher like Rivers or Basham in the 3rd.

I probably would prefer the Carolina trade to the Browns, even though they'd get an extra 3rd or 4th from Cleveland. Good chance Howard and Allen will be gone by pick 12 and Kamura may turn out as well as Cook. Bottom line, this may be the best year for the Jaguars to trade down and I hope they aggressively pursue this.
Come on Coughlin, the Jags need their early picks to turn into great players for them.

Outside of Ramsey last year we haven't had our first overall pick pan out in a long time. Bortles at #3 is still pending, but so far it's been very debatable in here as to whether he was worth the #3 pick or not.
