Quote:Sarcasm is an elusive thing for you.

I understand why. Not everyone is a thinker. Those who can't, usually come up with weak nicknames like Gertrash.

Ok tubby, no need to get all haughty because your favorite player is getting cut.
Quote:Nobody said we should trade Gertrash, Caldwell would get laughed at if he called another GM and offered to trade him.

Keep fighting the good fight though. I'm sure these message board GMs will eventually come around and be cool and smart like you.

You mean...like as opposed to making [BLEEP] nicknames cool?

I still prefer The Honky Hammer.. One of the best nicknames I've ever heard..
Quote:Gotta love the month of March. It has a way of making people forget about 12-36.

It's not that we have forgotten about it.

It's that we put it out of our minds and just don't think about it at this time of the year.

This is the time of the year where we, once again, all have hope for our Jaguars and when the season does start (right up until that 1st game) we will all be even, in 1st place actually, in the standings.

Where do you think Toby will end up once he is released from the Jags?

What team will take a chance on him at a much cheaper price, of course?

Surely some team will sign him, even if just for the preseason.

To bad he only lived up to half of that nickname.
After several days of walking, Toby is finally nearing the stadium...

Don't let that guy get under your skin. I would trade him for 10 of you right now.

Making my point once again.  You're nothing if you're not predictable.  Now, go work on chewing gum and walking at the same time.

Feel free to source where I've ever stated I am even remotely a fan of Gerhart.  I'm sure you'll make up some recollection because that's the best you can muster.

You malcontents certainly need to stick together.  The brotherhood of the soiled pants club.

Don't be so hard on him. Historically, you support everybody who sucks until a week after their bags have been packed and they are off the payroll. It was a fair assumption.

That works because I'm sure that tub o lard is 10x larger than a normal person.

Qft
Toby just reported an ankle injury and can't be cut per the NFLPA Agreement.

Quote:Caldwell has stated that Gerhart has an place on our team whether it's ST or actually performing on the offensive field. I believe that they'll allow him to play out his contract...

NH3...

With Ivory signing, I'm not certain Gerhart will get that chance. They'll probably pay that $500,000 roster bonus in order to look at him in training camp, but that's a far cry from him actually making the 53-man roster. You figure they'll go with 5 RBs. I'm thinking...

1. TJ Yeldon

2. Chris Ivory

3. Denard Robinson

4. Corey Grant

5. battle: Jonas Gray, Toby Gerhart and Joe Banyard

He probably got it when he was walking from his condo to the stadium to turn in his playbook. Cheapskate.
Quote:I'd rather see them cut beer prices by $3/each during the 2 preseason games.

Let's assume 20,000 fans (of the 50,000 that attend preseason games) drinks 4 beers each.

That totals up to 80,000 beers sold per preseason game.

Multiply 80,000 x 2 preseason games and you get 160,000 beers sold over 2 preseason games

Multiply 160,000 beers times $3 and you get $480,000

ASSUMING WE DRINK 4 BEERS EACH, IF WE CUT THE HORSE, US BEER DRINKERS COULD SAVE $24 ON DRINKS OVER THE COURSE OF 2 PRESEASON GAMES.  Assuming some of us are married that's $48 per couple.

COUNT ME IN ---- CUT THE HORSE AND SAVE $500,000 --- GIVE ME MY BEER DISCOUNT !!!  THE MORE YOU DRINK, THE MORE YOU SAVE !!!
