After a beast performance at the combine, Ramsey proved how he's the best player in this draft. He is now in consideration for the #1 pick by the tacks. Hopefully they get the LT. I don't see the Cowboys or Chargers passing up on him, especially if Chargers let go of Weddle. It sucks, and I know there is still some great players in the draft, but I really think we need Ramsey. So if Ramsey is gone who should it be ? Bosa will probably gone too, he also had a great combine. I wanted Bosa if Ramsey is gone, but I don't think he'll be available.
Spence- Good player, but with his off the field issues it's a big red flag. We've been burnt on players getting in trouble in the pass , I don't want to go through that again. So I think Spence is a PASS.
Jack- Really great talent, but he isn't a pass rusher just an LB. With the way this franchise love Poz so damn much, I don't think they take hm.
Buckner- That only leaves of with Buckner, he'll probably be the guy. He won't be a big impact player on the D I don't think, but he will be the best available

It's still possible he's there at 5.
Everyone knew he'd be impressive at the combine. His performance did nothing to alter his draft stock.
I'd be happy with Jack or Buckner, both great players. I want Jack to replace Poz. He could be a Kuechly type LB and some downs he can run the ball, he's a beast of a RB.

after the combine he could be the pick at 5. everybody has a collective bone air about his results.
Ramsey if he is there which there is a good chance he will be there. We have a good cache at Bosa, Ramsey, and Jack. All of them are great.

The pick in my mind is somewhat dependent upon who Dave was able to procure in free agency before the draft. Assuming no free agents (unrealistic), I would like to see the best pass rusher available taken in this scenario. After reading material and hearing interviews directly from Noah Spence, I am getting more comfortable with his character. My second thought if not comfortable with Spence is put Myles Jack at OTTO. I think he can handle it.

He would have had 10+ career INTs if not for drops.
I could easily see Ramsey being there at 5, for various reasons.
1. As other have pointed out in another thread, DBs generally don't go very high, especially safeties.
2. The draft order, as it currently stands, indicated Ramsey will be there due to the needs of the teams ahead of us.
Tennessee has needs along the OL, WR, DL and LB.
Cleveland has needs at QB, WR, DL and LB
San Diego has a huge need at LT, having given up 40 sacks last year. They face very strong pass rushers in their division like Justin Houston in KC, Khalil Mack in Oakland, and Von Miller and co in Denver. They will have to protect Rivers to have a chance at either contention or selling tickets either in SD or Los Angeles. If Stanley tested at all well at the combine (admittedly I didn't follow LTs) and tests well in individual workouts, I could see them going Stanley at 3.
Dallas has needs at QB, RB, WR opposite Bryant, DE because of Hardy's and Gregory's off field issues, LB and DB.
Ramsey could fall to us under those circumstances, considering there is some question whether he will be a CB or FS.
If teams are viewing him as a CB, he could go as early as SD, even though they just took Verrett in the first round last year.
If he is viewed more as a S, then SD and Dallas could bypass him based upon that.
Bosa or VH3 if Ramsey is gone
the guy did what he needed to do, i doubt he falls past us. it's a need for us. why not? forget Bosa. We got Dante last year. time to get another position high.
Im starting to think Dave will try hard to sign Irvin and Jackson hoping that Ramsey is there at 5 if not settle with Jack.

A LB unit consisting of Smith, Jack, and Irvin would be nuts. We'd have arguably the fastest group in the NFL.
