The Spyder Sharts  - Instant League Champions

I may have to retire Henne Given Sunday for this one.

I deserve naming rights.

I got dibs on "the cunning linguists."

Quote:"It's Cooper or bust. Can we really rely on Hurns? ARob is injury prone and Blake needs a real #1 or he will suck"

Can you dig up my post about Hurns?
Quote:Are you saying there should be no excuses for the Jags if they don't have a breakout season next year?

I believe I am.

lol No idea how to do that.

I just made that quote up from what was a topic last year.

That reminds me, I need to get some practice in this weekend...

I agree with this.  No 'barely missing the playoffs' either. Playoffs or bust.
"Could" can be a long way off from "Is"..

Y would you want to do that?
:whistling:
I thought the article was refreshing... I agree with Mayock... And didn't Beasley have a better year then Fowler last year? IJS...
^^^did you really just ask that question

Sit down, I have something to tell you... Fowler didn't play at all last year.

Go home, you're drunk.
Quote:Lol no it won't. We have two huge components coming back that we didn't have at all last year. Add at least two staters from FA. At least one more from the draft.

Boom. You've turned half the defensive roster over. It's not going to take 2-3 yrs.
I suppose you're referring to Fowler and Marks? Fowler is unproven in the NFL as yet; we don't know what we'll get out of him this year except rookie performance. And Marks? Again, he is a 'question Marks' at best. And since when have we gotten a 'game changer' from f/a? Answer... seldom, or not for long.

These are the facts, not delusional, wishful thinking, 'pie in the sky' rhetoric. Our defense is B A D (as in not very good) and it isn't going to get fixed overnight... just as our offense didn't get fixed over night. It will take some good drafting and costly f/a acquisition over the course of a couple of years to upright this boat. And bear in mind that those rookies we draft are going to require a couple of years of development before we (hopefully) start seeing the payoff. So we are, like it or not, at least a couple more years out of being 'legit' playoff contenders; I repeat... 'legit' playoff contenders.

That's reality. Deal with it.

lol have you seen how bad our division is? We were legit contenders for the playoffs last year... One made FG in Indy and a decent snap in Tennessee and we probably make it in.

This isn't your daddy's jaguars. David knows what he's doing. He's just a bit unconventional in what he's asking of the fans (patience). But believe me, this offseason indeed is the pivot point. There will be a big, impact defensive player signed. Probably two. Not Skuta or Parnell level signings. We are talking big time signings.

And we know what Marks is. I can guess at what Fowler will bring Wink

Add a Jalen Ramsey in there backed up by 6 more picks on defense.

Plus a playoff caliber offense.

Forget about it.

Yes, 7 and 9 could've won the division and they couldn't manage that.
