I went with 6.5 since the schedule is more difficult and we we'll actually face the opponents #1 QBs this year.

Quote:I see 6 at most barring a miracle breakthrough season for the defense. Not sure if gus will be here still but 6 is a good guess until we see the draft and free agency.

It is tough to envision more than six wins looking at the schedule, but I feel like expectations this season are set a little higher. Khan talked about the necessity to win this upcoming season, and for that to be a reality it would seen the team needs 8 wins so they can at least claim a non-losing season for once. This team is going to have to scratch and claw their way to eight wins even if some of them are ugly, and they can't afford to just give away games they should have won for petty reasons. If this team does reach 8 wins, it will be well deserved. I feel like they're good enough for eight wins any given season, but this particular schedule is a monster.

Quote:Doubtful.

People act like Rome was built in a day.

This team was historically bad. And then was gutted.

If you can't honestly say you'd feel pretty good with an 8 win season, I don't know what to tell you.

If you really expect an awful team to get great in a matter of 2 or 3 seasons you're crazy.

I highly doubt if Bradley gets this team to .500 he is fired.

We'll see... you all may get your wish anyway.

My personal expectations of this team are much higher. In my opinion we have enough talent on the offense to at least carry this team into playoffs. I expect to see that happen, as a fan.

Khan, the much more patient businessman might see 8-8 as real progress and allow Bradley his final contract year.

BUT... there is plenty of time later for you guys to bust out the pitchforks... let's just enjoy the offseason.

yikes indeed.

Teams can stumble into 3 or 4 wins by showing up on Sunday.  So other than having a team of players that love their boss, Bradley hasn't really done anything yet.

The players and talent got better this past year but the wins didn't.....

The opposing teams had to play harder though.

lol
One thing that's hard to predict is the quality of the Jaguars schedule WHEN the team faces each opponent.

If the Jaguars use their massive salary cap resources well,  have a good draft,  and stay relatively healthy compared to the competition,  expectations for the team should be much higher than they have been in a long time.   That will likely be the take of Shad Khan.

Yep. I don't buy into any strength of schedule talk till October. It always changes.

Every single year.

The 2015 Chiefs are an example of how schedule perception can change more than once.  The Chiefs looked like a relatively difficult opponent going into the 2015 season but got off to a 1-5 start.   Then they went on to winning 11 straight games before losing to the Patriots in the 2nd Round of the playoffs.
