"The Killing" is a great series and I believe still on netflix. It's 3 seasons long and an easy watch. I liked it a lot.

"Making a Murderer" Totally engrossing. Recommend to those 1 or 2 people who've not seen it. Smile

"Narcos" - I watched it when it was on and I wasn't as nutso over it as everyone else was. It was OKAY, but I didn't love it.

I was just about to stick Longmyre in my queue until someone said "western". Yuck.

Edit: The Killing is 4 seasons long, but the final season is only like 4/5 episodes

Oh yeah, forgot to mention...

"The Fall"

A very different role for Gillian Anderson for all of you X-Files geeks.

Don't count Longmire out, it's a Western, but set in current times. Cowboys and Indians, but modern conflicts.

Oh. So, it's not riding on horses out on the range? OK, after Breaking Bad I'll try it.
Quote:I haven't been an avid X-Files viewer at all, but I watched that episode and had no idea what to think of it.  I was almost expecting it to be all a dream.  It was funny, but I didn't think the show itself went to that level of humor/absurdity.
They would have lighthearted shows once in awhile. This one was an homage to a specific episode from season 3. Episode 20 IIRC. That one was, back in the day, quite humorous. Now it seems quite silly.
Quote:Watching for the first time Breaking Bad. LOVE IT so far

Breaking Bad rocks.. But you need to get down on some of them old Twilight Zone seasons.. Rod Serling rocks too..

LOVE The Killing. I'm glad Netflix picked it up to give us a decent ending.

Don't count Longmire out. It's a 'western' but is not the typical western. It has great characters, depth, good stories, etc. I was SO glad Netflix picked it up after AMC or whoever they were on dumped them.

When I was a kid I used to watch re-runs of Twilight Zone every night. It freaked me out and gave me nightmares, but I loved it. Super creepy.

Edit: Or are you making fun because I'm late to the party on BB?

Not at all.. I was late to the party with TZ, so its all good in the hood..
Over the last few years I've been binging on Netflix, the shows I've been watching are:

Friday Night Lights

The Office (US) - Now removed from Netflix

24 (didn't enjoy, so didn't go past the first series)

Breaking Bad (remains my favourite ever TV show)

Making A Murderer

Sons Of Anarchy (now into the final 5 episodes)

Luther

Curt & Courtney

Aileen

Biggie & Tupac

Better Call Saul...

And a lot more too! Next up is Peaky Blinders & Dexter.
The Fall > The Killing.

I love Westerns. I did not care for Longmire at all.
Quote:Are you watching the new season of X-Files? Monday night's show was hilarious. A total flashback to some of their more lighthearted episodes.

I saw the first one, then decided to wait for all 6 to air and binge then.

I was going to do that but I can't help myself. I'm an addict waiting for the next fix that can't come soon enough. Lol.

I can't tell you how many times I've watched the Friday Night Lights series. The intro song is actually my alarm tone on my cellphone. Yeah, I'm kind of a geek that way.

I'll add another vote for The Killing, I really enjoyed binge watching it and it definitely is an addictive show.  Some shows that aren't on netflix (I don't think anyway) that I've enjoyed watching recently are Orphan Black, Mr. Robot, and Fargo.  Just a few shows to check out that aren't Game of Thrones or The Walking Dead.

Those are great. If I had a few beers in me I could come up with some really great answers. Hahahaha.
I'll second and third Orphan Black. Outstanding show. The lead actress is ridiculously talented. Waiting for the next season on Amazon. Also, The Americans is pretty good. It's messed up in so many ways but I guess that's how they got things done back in Cold War 80's.

Another is Les Revenants (The Returned). It's a French show with subtitles. Normally I despise subtitles but the show was very intriguing so I was able to overlook them. Season 2 is coming out 17 February on Netflix I believe. It's about people who were dead but come back for reasons unknown. There was an American version that apparently sucked so bad A&E didn't renew it. Netflix may be picking it up. I won't watch it. The French version was awesome.

The Man in the High Castle is on Amazon and I watched the first 2 episodes then stopped as my husband wants to watch it but has been on night shift so I'm waiting for him to be done for the month. The premise is what happened when the Allies didn't win WW2 and Germany took over the east coast of America and Japan took the west coast. Somewhere in the middle is neutral ground or something. Looking forward to watching the whole season.
