Quote:I'll second and third Orphan Black. Outstanding show. The lead actress is ridiculously talented. Waiting for the next season on Amazon. Also, The Americans is pretty good. It's messed up in so many ways but I guess that's how they got things done back in Cold War 80's.

Another is Les Revenants (The Returned). It's a French show with subtitles. Normally I despise subtitles but the show was very intriguing so I was able to overlook them. Season 2 is coming out 17 February on Netflix I believe. It's about people who were dead but come back for reasons unknown. There was an American version that apparently sucked so bad A&E didn't renew it. Netflix may be picking it up. I won't watch it. The French version was awesome.

The Man in the High Castle is on Amazon and I watched the first 2 episodes then stopped as my husband wants to watch it but has been on night shift so I'm waiting for him to be done for the month. The premise is what happened when the Allies didn't win WW2 and Germany took over the east coast of America and Japan took the west coast. Somewhere in the middle is neutral ground or something. Looking forward to watching the whole season.

My only issue with OB is that it seems like they didn't think they were going to get a second season so they kind of backed themselves into a corner.  It's still entertaining though.
Quote:I recently finished Broadchurch, Longmire before that. And, of course, Making of a Murderer.

Better Call Saul was just released on Netflix, a must-see for any Breaking Bad fan who missed the premier season.
So Better Call Saul was good eh? I loved Breaking Bad. Couldn't believe I could admire a show from top to bottom, start to finish like BB. Maybe I will check this out.

It starts slow, but has the potential to be as good or better than Breaking Bad.

Just getting Mike's back story makes it worth watching.
Quote:Those are great. If I had a few beers in me I could come up with some really great answers. Hahahaha.

Agreed.  I always liked the Mike character on BB.  Going deeper into his past to see how he became what he did was a gift with BCS.
Spartacus

Orange is the new black

Narcos

My thoughts exactly.

Love that character.  Jonathan Banks does the "look of disdain" like no other.

Love him.

Recently noticed him in 48hrs and Gremlins... when he had hair!
Season premier of Better Call Saul is tonight. See it BEFORE Netflix!

Anyway...

They aren't Netflix series, but I just binged through three seasons of Ray Donovan on Showtime Now, and am halfway through season 1 of Brotherhood, another Showtime series. Ray Donovan is excellent, and Brotherhood is sneaky good.

I've been wondering about Ray Donovan. I love Liev Schreiber and would most likely watch him watch paint dry.

And is Brotherhood the one with Jason Clarke playing a Senator from Rhode Island? If so it's on Amazon but only lasted one season IIRC. I started watching it then wondered what was the point if they cancelled after one season. Only one show ever got me to actually buy the DVD set of the season that was cancelled after 14 episodes and that was Firefly.

Ray Donovan has a great cast. Jon Voight  and Elliot Gould, among others.

Yes, Jason Clarke plays a Rhode Island state senator in Brotherhood. Jason Isaacs plays his gangster brother, and Annabeth Gish plays his wife. It ran for 3 seasons on Showtime, not sure how many are available on Amazon.

Thanks! I'll have to check Amazon again. I have enjoyed Jason Clarke's work as well. Lawless, Zero Dark Thirty and another movie/character I can't remember right now. Terminator Genisys sucked all around so I won't hold that against him.
