Quote:Lewis has more yards, more TD's and a higher YPC in 10 seasons (144 games) than Brady had in 13 seasons (197 games). And while watching Lewis run is highly entertaining I can clearly recall a few plays where he wasn't tackled until the third or fourth man.
Exactly.

The most entertaining thing I ever observed on the field with Kyle Brady was the end of that browns game that one season where so many of the browns fans got so angry and were throwing beer bottles and all kinds of stuff. The Jags had already run off the field but had to come back out for like 3 seconds or something like that and some of those guys (Brady, for example) clearly didn't have on their own stuff. Pretty funny stuff there.

I remember a home game where Brady got flagged for back to back holding....1st and 30. Crazy

I like Marcedes for his blocking ability. Now that we have Julius, I don't feel as much pressure to obtain another productive pass catching TE.
He needs to come back and play just like he did this year.We do not need him to have stats

He reminds me of Hugh Jackman in that he's got a great upper body but he's got chicken legs. It's not really a knock on ML. Jackman has said in interviews that when he trains for Wolverine, no matter how hard he works his legs he cannot get the definition that he achieves in his upper body and therefore has 'chicken legs'.

I don't care what ML does in his off time as long as it doesn't affect his job. Which IMO he's not that great at but that's my opinion. I've seen worse.
Maybe Lewis should work on the areas of his game that are lacking, I don't recall people saying he isn't strong enough. He needs to run better routes, be faster, learn to actually get air when jumps on his terrible fade routes in the end zone, and learn to catch without double tapping the ball.
Y'all don't like ML? ...our offense is going to roll next year. I think he'll be fine.
ibhonest,i tried to watch the link but it didnt serve up. but judging by the responses, i will side by the life after football crowd. he owes us nothing,he did what he was told to do and he did it well.god bless marcedes lewis in all his future endeavors.

Quote:I don't have the stats to refer too, but I'm under the impression that Kyle Brady was a considerably more proficient receiving TE than ML ever thought about being. Plus Kyle could run, while ML always looks like a new born giraffe when (on rare occasion) he catches the ball.

But like I said, I don't have the stats in front of me so maybe I'm wrong about one being 'better' than the other.

In his later years Kyle Brady was nowhere near as good as Marcedes currently is. Earlier on (with the Jets and his fist four years with the Jaguars) he had some nice seasons, and Kyle did have even better hands, but over his final four seasons he simply couldn't get open especially downfield. He'd make the occasional 5 to 10 yard catch as a check down option, but that was it.

Well put.

Marcedes is a force in the Jaguars running game, and we need all the help we can get there. He's also impressive when he actually does make the catch. I realize that's not too often, but when he does they're often in key situations that help to win games. I absolutely love watching the giraffe stumble through players as he trollops for an extra ten or more yards.

He'd do that most of the season but at least on one play each season the defense would decided to tackle him high and we'd get the most amusing sight of Brady running an extra 10 yards with 4 guys trying to drag him down.
Id trade Lewis for a bag of Sour Patch Kids.
