Guy has 51 completions in 7 years of being in the NFL. Don't mistake this as him having some kind of untapped potential.

A liked him a lot as a Henne replacement the last time he hit FA. I still like him as a Henne replacement.

Unless Philly is willing to pull that basketballe trade like trade Cleveland pulled with Oz and gives us a draft pick to take the contract so we can just cut him, than I have zero interest 

 

Otherwise Henne and Allen are both better players and he isn't worth the time of day to consider

Chase Daniel is an incredibly lucky guy who has managed to make a lot of money for doing next to nothing. I think he will move on to another team who will pay him to continue his hot streak.

My thoughts?  He got cut for Foles.  That tells me plenty.

He didn't simply get cut for Foles. Daniel was signed to a 3 year $21 million deal by the Eagles. That's how highly they thought of him. They knew he would at least be a reliable starter if their rookie QB struggled. He didn't hence they knew they had a very expensive backup QB on their roster and they needed some cap relief. They sign Foles for a much more reasonable 2 year $11 million deal and are able to cut Daniel loose, creating some cap space. It has nothing to do with abilities. It was all about the money. 

We havn't seen enough of him to know how terrible he is yet...but that doesn't mean he's good.

Several years ago the Jaguars played the Saints in a Preseason game where Chase absolutely torched us. I've liked him ever since.

It really doesn't take much to impress you from a scouting perspective, that's for sure.

 

Player X did well in a preseason game against scrubs, so he must be good.
