Do we roll the dice on this guy? Can probably be had for less than market value.
In before the fingers puns. Yes, I would take a chance on him.

Is he always gonna wear a club covering his hand? I thought I heard he was just gonna wear a special glove.
As MissJagsFanatic would say...What are his numbers since he lost his fingers?

.
I'd take a chance on him, but it would have to be at a price much lower than a premier pass rusher normally signs for. Instead of the 15-20 million a year a premier pass rusher in free agency would normally get I'd want to see him signed for less than 10 million a year including likely to be earned incentives, with possible payouts much higher with incentives he'd have to play at an elite level to gain.

He'll be one of the rare stars that are hungry to prove a point. I would bring him in, I'd have to see how bad his tackling is or isn't.

Mario, Vernon, JPP, Spence in the draft, Fowler back. It's fixed.

The club is temporary. He has a special glove still being made according to the broadcasters.

Will it have an artificial finger and thumb? If not it'll be hilarious watching him whiff at swatting passes.
Unless he can get some artificial fingers I say no. He isn't the same player with that club

Tryin to say JPP is nothing but thumbs now?
As long as he gets a Miller/Marks prove it kind of deal to start. I'm all for the idea of going after JPP.

Also, Willie Young.

Also, Mario Williams.

Also. (ANYONE WHO CAN RUSH THE PASSER)

And still should draft 2 Dline guys, even if we sign 2 or 3 guys.

Hopefully we can address DE, FS, and LB while also drafting at those positions. (double down)

While using later round picks to fill in depth and add competition to the Oline and defensive backfield. (Possibly RB too)

back OT: I think JPP with 9 fingers is better than Branch with 11 fingers.

A Jaguar fan making fun of potential FA pass rushers. Par for the course. Clearly what we have is working. Clearly.

Um, seriously?
There's a reason signing him would worry me, but I can't put my finger on it.

Willie Young has been playing some of the best football in his career of late for the Bears.  It took him a while to adapt to the Bears base 3-4 Defense but now is a player who can play in any scheme.

The question with Willie Young is no longer overcoming the Achilles Tendon tear,   as he's accomplished that goal.   It's the age factor.   Young will be 31 next season,  as he was 25 years old during his rookie season with the Lions.   If Young's skills remain around his current level for the next 2 seasons,   he would be a good addition for the Jaguars or any team that's looking for an edge rusher to add to their mix

If Caldwell can get JPP's digits, I say we give him a call.

You'll have to because JPP can't dial.
