They seem like similar players to me. I think David Johnson probably has a bit more power in his runs. I'd like to see what Yeldon could do behind a line like Arizona's.

The only way to find out is trade him to Arizona.
Yeldon can't finish long runs for TD's. He gets burned out once he gets to the 20 yard line for some reason, which is odd because he didn't do that in college.
I think he put on too much weight in the past couple years to hold up/pass protect better. Think he needs to cut back down.
Johnson is a much better reciever and has more power. Yeldon is a better pure runner and Ari. also has a better oline

IIRC Dave Caldwell said he was looking for a pure runner.
David Johnsonn is more explosive and versatile.

He is built for short bursts and jukes. He's not a home run hitter.

So why was he picked near the top of the second round? RBs selected that high must be able to run long distances to live up to their pick numbers.

I really like that about him, but Bell is bigger than him and is still able to break out for long TD runs.
Like I said, he was able to hit the hole and run 60+ yards for a TD in college, maybe he gained weight and can't do that anymore. Not really sure.

Well apparently not.

Why apparently not? The 35th pick is too high for a RB who lacks the breakout ability and speed to score touchdowns.
I love David Johnson and wish he would have ended up in Jacksonville.
I'm happy with Yeldon tho.

Well he was drafted at 35, so I guess you're wrong about that. You don't NEED the breakout ability at all, cause he makes up for it in everything else. He's a three down back that can get tough yards, block, catch, and is very shifty when he has room to run. Our run blocking needs to get way better, and once that happens we'll see what Yeldon can really do.

NFL defenses are just way faster is all.

I can't wait for the Jaguars to get a better offensive line to help Yeldon get those tough yards.

Wouldn't it stand to reason that if the Offensive Line got better then those "tough yards" are not so tough any longer?

No it wouldn't. Dallas has one of the best offensive lines in football, but can't do anything on the ground without DeMarco Murray.

Nice edit
