I actually think the scheme is fine if we have a LEO and FS that are playing at a high level...
I think it might be a bit much to expect an injured Sample and Fowler to fill those shoes next year.
And a couple more rookies might not help it much....

Good coaches will maximize players ability either changing the scheme to the strength of the players or hiding the players weekness. Babich is not a good coach, not even close. He got fired by the Chicago bears.

I'm interested to see if Gus does fire Babich. Buuuut, we had Branch and Clemons as our pass rush with Skuta as the Otto who did okay but not really effective. Had they even had Fowler there to add into the mix, the defense might have looked a bit or maybe a lot better. Don't care either way of Babich is fired or not. Everyone wants someone head to roll, so we'll see if they get their wish.
When this regime came in they were all learning on the job. Babich was even demoted in Chicago for Pete's sake. Bus Gladley will fire Babich to save his own [BLEEP]. Just watch.
