Quote:The kicker is a big factor in the PPG statistic.
Next year we will be the first team to go for two after every single touchdown. Dont know what we will do about fieldgoals but..
New kicker isnt gonna impress me. But sure if we can find a better alternative. Hopefully we will pick up some defensive playmakers.
Depending if khan gets rid of gus this offseason.
I think he's a year or two away from being a hot name for HC. Carr and bortles have been great for his career.
Keep in mind Olson was with the jaguars prior to 2014..

You don't know whether a new kicker will be impressive or not. What you do know is we will never go for two every time in a game.

Do you really think there is any chance Gus Bradley will be fired? If so, you are totally ignorant. Shad Khan always said he won't do it.
Quote:What are you talking about? Over the past three weeks the Jaguars are #1 in the NFL in PPG. Since week five they're #2 only behind the Panthers. Overall this season they're #9.
Because apparently games early in the season where our 2nd year players were still working on development makes us bad overall.
MsJags, it's about the PROGRESSION. We have progressed into a really good offense that's beginning to barely scratch the surface of potential. If they can get Lee worked in the rotation as well then seriously that's going to be a legit deadly offense.
Quote:I don't understand why anybody is thinking about this when we are still near the bottom in PPG. Wait until we score touchdowns on most red zone drives. We also need a few more pieces on offense.
You're funny. You make me laugh. Keep doing that.
Quote:"Since Week 5" is ridiculous. What matters is our ranking for the whole season, starting with the Panthers game.
Scenario:
Your boss hands you a massive project with lots of complicated, moving parts. The potential is there and everyone knows it, but you haven't quite figured out where all the pieces fit. For the first few weeks, you struggle, but then you start to show consistent improvement, and as you round third base, things start firing on all cylinders and things start clicking at a level that they haven't for years.
Now, at the end of that project, do you think your boss is going to congratulate you on a job well done given the end result, or is he going to fire you because it took you a few tries to get the thing figured out?
Likewise, if another company was interested in hiring you, do you think they'd pass you over because you struggled initially to get things going, or would they be more inclined to pursue you because of how well you were able to bring things together in the end?
Quote:Has anyone run this through Madden yet?
I did and Olson was hired by the Patriots to replace Belichick, but that might be because I've changed all of Oley's ratings to 99...
Quote:We can definitely be a top 5 offense with Brandon Linder back, a center who can snap, and T.J. Yeldon not being a rookie. But PPG still won't rank that high without a new kicker.
...are you for real? You realize we're already top-ten in points per game, right? And that's with a kicker who's as reliable as a Comcast arrival window.

"Bottom" is a relative term.

She's gotten to the point where she no longer pays attention to what is actually happening in the real world. She just blabs a bunch of nonsense she makes up.
I think her cats need to do an intervention.
Arguing with Corky is hazardous to your health. Seriously.
Grabs popcorn and pulls up a chair......I love these threads. :teehee:
I think he's safe here for a few more years. He's been in the league for a really long time, I don't think 1 year would make him a hot coaching candidate this quickly.

If only you could see your double standard regarding #firegus.

She's reaching peak troll level. She usually gets about this ridiculous, all kinds of people call her out, then she gets mad and questions why people are mean, she really gets flamed, then she just doesn't come around for a couple weeks and pretends like nothing happened.

He's a career positional/OC. I don't think that changes now.

You could say the same about Hue Jackson. No doubt he deserves to be a head coach again.
Quote:He's a career positional/OC. I don't think that changes now.
Do you know him personally to say this?
I don't think he would look for a HC job just yet. Maybe if he has a couple more years as a top OC he might.
