The last thing I read was the Rams only want to move if they share a stadium with the Chargers or Raiders.

What I heard was that the chargers/raiders are leading. So as a last attempt to get ahead, the Rams want the chargers to join them because the chargers are favorites.

The Chargers are all but a given to play in LA next year, so the Rams are trying to get them to join in the Inglewood stadium project and guarantee their own trip to LA instead of watching the Raiders move down the coast.

The question regarding Stan Kroenke could easily become whether he decides to go rogue, moving the Rams to L.A. ( Inglewood ) w/o league approval, much like Al Davis did with the Raiders in 1982?
If Kroenke doesn't go rogue, the next question would seem to be whether he accepts the St. Louis stadium proposal that Dave Peacock and Bob Blitz led the way in putting together or whether he exercises the option in 2016 for the Rams to play in the Edgar Jones Dome another season? With Kroenke keeping his options open for 2017?
I have felt all along that there would be numerous twists in turns along the way this year and in early 2016 before the dust settles on which team ( s ) move to L.A. So far, nothing that's happened has changed my mind in that regard. Kroenke hasn't said a word and it's all speculation what his mindset truly is at this time.

Great job doing your homework, but it is called the EDWARD Jones Dome.
I never read any specific details about the St. Louis stadium plan, but would guess the Rams have to play in the EJD at least two more years while that one is built if they don't move to LA.
Stan Kroenke definitely will not move the Rams without league approval. The Raiders could do it because there was already a stadium - the Los Angeles Coliseum, which was built for the 1984 Olympics - and to move this time, the Rams need a new stadium built. So it is pretty much impossible to move without 24 votes in favor of the move to LA.

I stand corrected as I've inadvertently made the same mistake in the past regarding the correct full name of the St. Louis Rams stadium, I even saw the Dome upclose when I was in St. Louis in 2012.
Regarding the overall story of the potential of NFL football coming back to Los Angeles, I've been following it closely for a long time. Vincent Bonsignore, who writes for the Los Angeles Daily News, is a good information source on this topic. Many fans of all 3 teams think Bonsignore has bias. My impression is he doesn't have an agenda regarding favoring one team over another to move to L.A.

The Los Angeles Coliseum goes back long before the 1984 Olympics were even a thought, even by George Orwell. :teehee: That facility goes back to at least the 1932 Olympics, even though they had one or more renovations after that.
The Los Angeles Coliseum likely will be available for at least one NFL team in 2016.
I'm far less certain than you are about what Stan Kroenke is planning. While my preference is for the Rams to remain in St. Louis, there's no question that there's more money to be made in Los Angeles. Kroenke has a home in Malibu and has the land to build a stadium in Inglewood. Not to mention, the land to build plenty surrounding the stadium. It's on the site of where Hollywood Park ( horse race track ) stood until several months ago. The track was imploded in order to make room for a new stadium and surroundings, that were approved by the Inglewood City Council. Kroenke might be of the mind set that regardless of being one of the richest people on the planet, he needs to see his plan for this site become a reality. Even if he has to go to court. Kroenke is from Missouri but he's alienated most St. Louis Rams fans in recent years. Regardless of what ultimately happens, I believe that Kroenke's preference is for the Rams to be in Inglewood, CA., The question is how far is Kroenke willing to go in order to move the Rams to the L.A. area?

Good question. It appears obvious he wants to see what the plan is for Inglewood before saying, "We're moving to Los Angeles." But what he has done so far is bad enough to make a lot of Rams fans mad for sure.

Reports indicate the stadium will be in Inglewood no matter who moves to Los Angeles.

If the Chargers and Raiders move to Los Angeles or if just the Chargers move, the stadium will be in Carson unless something substantially changes.

So why is the Rams plan for Inglewood? If Stan Kroenke wants to share his new stadium with the Chargers or Raiders, he needs to make plans for the same site they are.

The Rams plan is in Inglewood because that's where Stan Kroenke owns the land to build the stadium and for his overall development plan surrounding the stadium. Kroenke is willing to share the Inglewood stadium with another team but on his terms. In essence, Kroenke wants control of the development surrounding the stadium. Being that Kroenke has heavily invested in the land already, he might not be willing to compromise further. If push came to shove with Kroenke deciding not to challenge the NFL in court in order to move the Rams, he could develop the land in different ways. That land might matter more to Kroenke than moving his team there.
My guess is the Raiders would gladly agree to Kroenke's current terms in Inglewood but the Chargers won't. Because the Chargers won't, I don't think the NFL is going to approval the Rams move to Los Angeles. There's a large number of owners that want to accommodate Chargers owner Dean Spanos. Whether Spanos can get 24 votes is one of the key questions to the entire situation.

Hmmm, that's interesting. I don't see why Stan Kroenke would buy the land without knowing yet if his plan will come to fruition. Maybe he has a backup plan for it if the NFL does not approve Inglewood?

I'm confident that Stan Kroenke has contingency plans for the land. Kroenke married into the Walton ( Walmart ) Family but he's made PLENTY of money on his own because of real estate transactions. Kroenke is a horrible NFL owner but there aren't many more skilled in real estate.
