TY for the response. I certainly respect your views
Would you be content with Skuta starting at Otto next year?
IMO it's an important position, especially for this defense, and I feel the team needs someone better than Dan starting

I would probably roll with Jack at the OTTO and then slide him inside on passing downs. I would rotate Skuta in at OTTO when Jack slide inside.
Jack, too me, has one of the highest ceilings in the whole draft. His athletic skills are through the roof but his game is very raw. He rarely was called on to rush the passer so he has little pass rush moves. This year, he was gonna be to be asked to do more of that but he injured his knee. I probably would keep Poz one more year with Jack at OTTO and then have Jack take the reigns from Poz next year.
Based on McShay's scenario, Hargreaves would be a solid pick. Having he and House with Colvin at nickel and hopefully a free agent free safety would upgrade the secondary significantly. Like most years, however, much will change between now and the draft. Since Jacksonville should be picking between 10-15, they should be able to get either a pass rusher, corner or linebacker. I trust Caldwell will make the right choice.
Knowing that Bradley likes bigger corners would Caldwell even consider VHIII??

Hargreaves stands 5'11" 199. Aaron Colvin is 5'11" 177 and Dwayne Gratz is 5'11" 200. Davon House is only 6'0". Hargreaves will hold up.

He would indeed
Perhaps the info I picked up is wrong

Plus, Hargreaves is better than all of them
Hargreaves is the best player in the draft IMO and the best corner to come oit since Patrick Peterson. I dont think he will be there when we pick though

I will be shocked if Hargreaves comes in at 199.

i dont really see why you think he looks so small for a corner. He looks no smaller than Revis IMO.

Hargreaves will be doing good if he is 5'10" at the combine. The rumors are he is truly 5'9'' and a shade.

I'd be fine with Skuta as the starter at least for the short term. I'd also really like Scooby Wright if we can get him in the second round since it sounds like he'll be declaring.

Darrell Green is 5'8", and he did ok for himself (understatement of the year) for a very long time. I wouldn't go so far as to compare Hargreaves to Green, who was one of the greatest defensive backs in NFL history, but I do believe that regardless of scheme, if a player is good enough, you make a fit for them. Hargreaves might just be good enough, even if he does come in at 5'9" or 5'10".

There have been plenty of very short and very good CBs, but I don't think any of them have been drafted in the top 10. Fair or not that's just how it's been forever. My biggest worry for VH3 was how often he gets nicked up (because he is impressively physical for his size to be fair), but that problem will probably only be exacerbated in the bigger, stronger, faster NFL. Him having to leave the field for a series here and there darn near every game because he is nursing some ailment will be very frustrating.
I was already for VH3 on the back end of the Jalen/Jaylon/Jack/VH3 tier, and if he really does measure in under 5'10" I will probably have to move him from that tier into the next one down...which probably means perfect range for where the Jags will be picking if they finish the season as well as they could/should.

I have to say, I think Jack would be fine at the OTTO if they assigned him TE duties. I feel like aside from the monstrous TE's out there that everyone has trouble with, he will be able to hold his own on the Strong Side. Plus, he's going to be harder to see if they decide to blitz him from there.
Hargreaves is not 5'11'' and he is not 199lbs.

Take your orange and blue shades off bro dude looks plenty smaller than Revis.

Without question, Jack has the athletic ability (assuming full recovery from the torn meniscus) to be an outstanding OLB.
But the injury, and more importantly, Jim Mora's apprehension about Jack falling gives me pause.

Does he need more experience at LB? Does he need to get bigger and stronger?
Granted, Mora has an interest in Jack staying another year. But I think his concerns are legit.

Does he need to get bigger and stronger? I would have to say yes. But! I'd rather have him getting bigger and stronger on my roster than anyone else's. NFL players grow, it's just a fact and it's tied to the idea that there are really very, very few Pro Ready players in the draft. I'd rather draft a guy that I think will become a great player in the future.
If VH3 is there at 9 you run to the podium and draft him
We need play makers on defense, i'm sure we will sign a few pass rushers plus Fowler will be back, this draft isnt top heavy at pass rusher anyways, we can find some guys in the 2nd - 7th rounds
