Quote:Miles Jack is going to be a tackling machine. Any LB corps with Jack and T Smith will be incredible. Has Hargraves ever made a tackle?
Hargraves is a pretty physical CB for his size, he gets in there and tackles

Hargreaves won't be there when week pick 32nd though...
Quote:i dont really see why you think he looks so small for a corner. He looks no smaller than Revis IMO.

Every time I watch him play, he's small size always jumps out to me. He just extremely twiggy, but I could be wrong. I will be curious to see how he measures out height, weight, and arm length-wise. Gus has already said that his corners don't necessarily need to be tall, but rather long.

VH3 is still my guy, so I am very curious how he measures out. If the Jags keep winning and getting pushed further down the draft order, then I kind of selfishly hope he measures bad to push him down to us.

Which begs the question: is it even worth winning the Superbowl if it means we get such a terrible draft pick?

I'd say no.
I get rich man's Fernando Bryant vibe when I watch VH3

I was just thinking that comparison the other day actually.
Year in and year out people nitpick size. In the case of vh3, he's an absolute stud and he deserves to be taken anywhere in the draft whether he is 5'10 or 6'.

This year the 32nd pick is the first pick of round two.

Yeah, bc we're gonna trade down from 31 to pick up an extra 4th
Quote:Thing is, Ogbah isn't listed until #31. He seems to have rubbed a few of these draftniks the wrong way, because I don't see anyone even having him in the Top 20.
watch enough film of Ogbah and you might see the same player I do in him... the quintessential "contract year" player.

I would pass on that.

Explain? I don't think Ogbah is as good as everyone thinks but I don't get your "contract year" statement.

I'd prefer not to have anything Fernando Bryant.
You guys worry to much about size and not skill VH3
I don't think VH3 will be there by then.

Jack to.

But either one of them at 9 is good with me.

Quote:Todd McShay recently posted his latest attempt to pick the first 32 players out of the 2016 Draft. It's an ESPN Insider account so it won't do me much good to post a link but he has Jacksonville picking Vernon Hargreaves III, DB with Pick #9. Players who were already drafted at that point were the Usual Suspects of Bosa, Jalen Ramsey, Jaylon Smith, The OT's from Notre Dame and Ole Miss, respectively, Nkemdiche, Paxton Lynch and Jared Goff.

Players still available were as follows:

Laquon Treadwell, WR, Ole Miss Rebels*

Jarran Reed, DT, Alabama Crimson Tide

DeForest Buckner, DE, Oregon Ducks

Jack Conklin, OT, Michigan State Spartans*

Myles Jack, LB, UCLA*

Tre'Davious White, CB, LSU Tigers*

Michael Thomas, WR, Ohio State Buckeyes*

Shaq Lawson, DE, Clemson Tigers*

Taylor Decker, OT, Ohio State Buckeyes

A'Shawn Robinson, DT, Alabama Crimson Tide*

Sheldon Rankins, DT, Louisville Cardinals

Kendall Fuller, CB, Virginia Tech*

Leonard Floyd, OLB, Georgia Bulldogs*

Nando was far from a bad corner. He's a tough tackler (and tough player overall) and actually a good cover guy. The problem he had (which is a pretty big one) is that he was bad at tracking the ball. When you factor that in with his lack of height...it makes for a big liability especially for deep balls. In today's NFL where the QBs throw a lot of backshoulder passes, he'd be picked on more than he was during his era.

Fernando with say, Davon House deep ball skills? That's a really good corner now.

I don't think Hargreaves is that, but he's certainly got better ball skills than Nando ever had.
