Quote:The Jags defense is terrible, that's true. What was it when mariota curled up into the fetal position and asked to sit on the sideline, 14-0 in the first quarter?

When his leg got folded in the opposite direction? Yeah it was in the first quarter. He's taken a beating is year with a terrible O line. Insinuating he's soft is misguided.

Soft or just wimpy, he's already had two significant injuries this season. Bortles had the worst offensive line I've ever seen last year, got sacked something like 60 times, and didn't miss a game.

Yay Chortles. I'd still rather have MM.

Of course you would, big RG3 fan, too?

Congrats (I guess) to the Tinhorns on getting their first ever victory at Indy.

You guys with your RGIII and Keapernick comparisons. I bet Bortles has run more than Mariota this year. He's been a pocket passer for the most part.

The comparison isn't in how much they run, the comparison is in how their career is going to progress. Real early apex in both cases with a lot of knee injuries.

Tad early don't you think?

What's he at, 12 starts with 10 games finished? If it were something that weren't widely predicted ahead of time I'd say you're right, as it is now he needs to show he can play a full season before I'll believe he even can.

Injuries were widely predicted? He certainly wasn't injury prone in college and I never heard any knocks in him not being durable. Sometimes [BLEEP] happens. I certainly wouldn't be on here screaming [BLEEP]! if Bortles sprained his MCL.
2-1 this week.

28-19 overall.

My God, how did the clots lose to Brandon Weeden?

The texans had NEVER won in Indy (0-13) until Weedon, of all QBs, ended up finishing up the game and beating them.

I mean Brandon freaking Weedon.

What the heck happened?

The entire offense today was absolutely dreadful. Colts had GREAT field position for most of the game (especially in the first half). I'm talking 40-50 yard line almost every drive in the first half and could never do anything with it.

Colts defense & special teams played really well today. If Luck was healthy and played today, this was an EASY win.
Only one AFCS quarterback survived today. Mariota, Hasselbeck, and Yates all went out with injuries. Hasselbeck went back in, but Yates has a torn ACL.

This week:  2-1

Overall:  27-20

I didn't watch the game but I tracked it.

The clots pretty much had the lead for nearly the whole game too.

I mean Brandon freaking Weeden somehow, someway beat you guys, at home.

That's just ugly. It might not get much uglier then that.

I can't imagine what your mbs are saying about that loss to Weeden.

I guess I will have to drop by and take a look after work today.

Houston
@ Indianapolis -
I'm going with Houston here, even though they are the visiting team.  Both teams are fighting for the division championship, both teams are struggling yet Houston has the better defense.

Tennessee @ New England

- These are two teams fighting for two different reasons.  One team for a Super Bowl appearance, the other for the 1st overall pick.  I'll take New England in this "game".

Atlanta @ Jacksonville
- This game has implications for both teams.  The loser of the game is pretty much out of the post-season hunt while the winner is still in it.  Atlanta is fighting for a wildcard berth while the Jaguars are fighting for a divisional championship.  I'll take my Jaguars
in this one.

The TEXANS somehow beat them ON THE ROAD.

Yeah, this division is still so bad that the colts don't even have Luck playing almost all season and still have a good chance of winning the title. I know that Luck didn't look so good in a few games very early this year. But seriously, if he played all season it probably would've been yet another default/cakewalk into the playoffs.

Hopefully this is the last season of a cakewalk division for those guys. Hopefully the Jags progress continues and they seriously compete with the Luck-led Colts.

IMHO, if Luck had played and been healthy all season, there would've been no talk of division contention for the Jags and Tinhorns. A 5-9 team wouldn't even be in the conversation right now. I just hope the Jags have something for those guys next year!
