San Diego and McCoy have an obligation to win the game, period.
Some of you are acting as if they head hunted Hurns, stomped his groin as he lay there, and McCoy threw a clipboard at him.
Was the Jaguars offense going to not try to win the game after that play?
Quote:Am I not entitled to an opinion regarding this? I'd also like to point out that the whole stadium booed the decision which was evident from the coverage. So quite clearly a lot of people agree with my sentiment.
Do you have such low self esteem that you seriously care so much about what other people think that you won't say anything if people may be deemed to make fun of it? That's pretty pathetic man. High school must of been tough for you, huh?
Again, there was NOTHING classless about it. They challenged a play on the field, thats it. Does an injury make any challenge a "classless" play? Who was offended and why?
The play wasn't even a big hit by a defender, it was Hurns hitting his head on the ground with minimal contact.
If there was no injury, the challenge would have been a-ok right?

The point is if there was no injury there would of been no challenge as Hurns would of likely caught the ball. The only reason there was a chance of an int is because Hurns was unconscious.

And? How does it make that classless? Is the game supposed to immediately come to a stop every time someone gets injured? Or is it only if someone has a concussion? What if someone doesn't realise there is a concussion until later, do they have to go take the play over? This whole 'classless' thing is just kinda goofy.

I'm still trying to figure out how this is classless. Our fan base really makes it hard to avoid being a laughing stock with nonsense like this floating around out there.
Had the tables been turned and an opposing receiver knocked himself out on a play and in the course of doing so he fumbles, but the ball doesn't touch the ground and is still live, and our defense recovered the ball, but the refs didn't signal a change of possession, people like you would be howling for Gus' head if he didn't challenge the play.
This thread is still going on?

No I wouldn't tbh. You should earn wins.
Like I say I put the disagreement down to culture shock, it wouldn't happen in soccer over here and that's what I've grown up watching most of my life (uk based) I guess I just expect the same
Level of sportsmanship when I watch the NFL which I love, but hey i guess I'm just naive I should know better that winning is all that matters across the pond, hence all the PED bans.

So flopping on the ground like you've been shot with a shotgun, when an opposing player remotely touched you, then running around like nothing ever happened 30 seconds later would be considered good sportsmanship then?
Many weeks have passed but the sheer classlessness of that call will live on forever.
