Quote:I think we'll win but we have a habit of losing the games we should theoretically win. But we have been winning games lately that perhaps we should have lost so I'll go with the double negative and say we probably won't not win this game. Go Jag!
Tennessee was a pick 'em game. I don't think anyone said we were supposed to lose.

I'm not talking about Tennessee.
Gus Bradley's magical post-bye week defense is the biggest reason why I'm expecting a pretty handed victory. It's up to the offense to keep up.
We'll need to score 27 to win............27-23.

I hope we don't need to score 27 points to win, but do it anyway.

Similar to my thoughts on this match up.
While it may be that the chargers are having trouble blocking right now, it's also true that we get little to no pass pressure as a rule. It kind'a balances out. That being the case, while I hope for a win, I think that if it comes down to what the two quarterbacks can do with what they've got to work with, we could lose. Philip Rivers is no slouch, regardless of if he has a great line in front of him or not. I hope for a good game and a win, but I certainly do not think that we will be 'blowing out' any body this season.
I would start whoever is starting Tight End for the Chargers this game in Fantasy Football. I still think we win..we just seem to have issues there
You know its bad when fans think they will get blown out by the Jags lol.
Quote:It's possible that we find ourselves there again. :yucky:
No. It's not.
Fun fact: We've Been blown out 4 straight times by the Chargers, it's actually kind of bothered me that we've always played poorly historically against them. Especially Since Rvers and Gates have been there

The Jags always seem to make so-so QB's look like Hall of Famers. Rivers is a very good passer. He lacks the receivers he needs, but I still see him marching up and down the field for at least 2 touchdowns and 3 field goals. Bortles must bring his best game, and minimize turnovers.
Quote:FYI Denver is only two hours behind us, so the division is irrelevant. Time changes only affect the Seahawks, 49ers, Raiders, Chargers, and Cardinals.
Arizona doesn't change time and is in Mountain TZ so they are only 2 hours behind now.. In DST, they are on the same time as the West Coast to have the nights start to cool off a little after sundown.. When your normal daytime temps in the summer are typically 100+, they want their nights to start earlier in the summer.
This sort of sums up how Charger Fan feels........
" I am a die hard Chargers fan, but this team is making it harder and harder to watch football on Sundays. I apologize for this rant but it's necessary....
The team's performance was pathetic. What is worst, they played so dismally on the day that we retired LT's number and couldn't even score a TD to save our lives. The team played so uninspired on a day where even LT said it in his speech, "My team inspired me to play hard, but most of all the fans inspired us to play our hearts out!" This team is clearly playing for itself and not the fans, not the city....
This team (other than Rivers) has no heart, I understand that they are playing with 3rd string and practice squad guys but to play like this after a bye week and on the day that you celebrate one of the greatest Chargers to have ever graced the field is embarrassing.
It was clear that Andy Reid had complete control of his team and the game. He inspired his 2nd and 3rd team running backs to pick up the slack when Jamal Charles. Mike McCoy, Frank Reich, and John Pagano had no clue there was even a game going on...they have no fire, they can't inspire, and what's worst...the GM and the Spanos family seep to be apathetic to the situation.
I'm surprised this year's team didn't manage to lose on the by week."
Wow......sounds like the ones posting are pretty bummed....to say the least.

This post sounds a lot like the usual posts from a typical Jags game. Believe me... we understand where you're coming from.

Exactly what I was thinking. Especially last season. All I can say is, welcome to our world, San Diego.

It's creepy how Jaguars-esque this post is. I pray our days are over with, though.
