Would Jimbo leave FSU? I was talking to a pretty prominent booster yesterday for UGA and he suggested that they'd love to have Jimbo and Jimbo would love to be there. all hear say as I don't know where he's getting that info from, but then I saw this story today. Does Jimbo want into the SEC?

That's the only job I could see Jimbo leaving FSU for.
So Les is on the hot seat? Seriously?
WOULD be a downgrade for LSU

Yahoo sports has picked it up as well.

Wasn't there some kind of rift between Fisher and Saban back in the day? If this thing has any validity, and that seems scarce but whatever, could it be that LSU is trying to add even more flavor to the LSU-'bama rivalry?

That's a place with high expectations and a great region to recruit some top talent.
Miles started out in Bowls going 3-0, since then he has been 2-6. Granted, he has played some pretty good teams, but that still doesn't cut it for them. Coming off an 8-5 year followed by this current one and it doesn't surprise me that some are calling for a change.
I will say this, from a guy who is "on the outside looking in" at SEC fans, they do seem kinda ridiculous. I mean, look at Miles' record! He's won 110 games! He averages eleven wins a season! Eleven!!! Who would want to walk away from that?!?!

Fisher and Saban got along at LSU. Les Miles and Fisher didn't always see eye to eye.

I am talking about the Jimbo Fisher part

Are you sure about that? I remember talking to a guy that had "ins" on the LSU staff and he stated that Saban tried to demote Fisher because he didn't trust him.
Not saying that any of that is correct, but I'd just like corroboration of the story.

I've never heard about a riff between Fisher and Saban. I wouldn't think there was any kind of animosity between the two because I believe they still have a good relationship today.
You could very well be right though. I do know that it's pretty well documented from LSU fans that Fisher and Miles didn't get along.
I think Bama would be a better spot for Bo, makes more sense then LSU but I understand that theory as well.

I don't remember where I found it, I will find the link. But around 2014, Saban said Jimbo Fisher was the best coordinator he has ever had. Saban talked about Fisher's playcalling and ability to open up the playbook. He was comparing Fisher to McElwain and Nussmeier. Saban said he always had to beg McElwain and Nussmeier to open up the offense, said their playcalling was predictable, and said he didn't understand why they would run plays that were designed to fail.

"I've been begging the offensive coordinators around here to open it up since I've been here," Saban said. "Jimbo Fisher was the best offensive coordinator I've ever had that ever did what I wanted to do."

<p style="color:rgb(29,35,38);font-family:'Trebuchet MS', Tahoma, sans-serif;font-size:14.4px;">Saban bristled when he was asked Tuesday if he'd given Kiffin more latitude to open up the Crimson Tide offense than previous coordinators
Doug Nussmeier,
Jim McElwain and
Major Applewhite.

"No, no," Saban said. "I've been begging the offensive coordinators around here to open it up ever since I've been here ... My philosophy hasn't changed at all. I've always asked for this. 'Why don't we throw the ball on this look instead of running this play where we can't block everybody?'"
