Quote:Maybe you can make a comment that improves the quality.  It's getting pretty old how everyone who didn't start the thread, has to comment that the thread sucks.  Contribute, or move along.

I'm certain that I can, but what improvement would be had by making a statement that is either 1. obvious or 2. previously stated?

My statement was made in fun and meant to jab the OP that he made a pessimistic thread and instead of quantitatively pointing out how good Houston's team is, he takes the opportunity to point out how bad he thinks Jacksonville is.

Would it not have made more sense if the OP had titled the thread "Jacksonville couldn't beat Cincinnati the way that Houston did last night"? Wouldn't that have been more genuine? Instead, the title of the thread comes across as whiny and passive-aggressive. So should pearls be cast before this particular swine of a thread? To what benefit would that be? Sometimes, things cannot be improved and the only way to make things better is to have them replaced.

Also, I'd like to take the time to point out that my post is a traditional type that has been used around here for a while that points out when a thread is seen as redundant.

My guess is whoever wins the South will get the Steelers.

Yeah,, the tinhorns would have to advance (and Cincy too if they don't get the bye). But if it somehow works out that Houston matches up with Cincy,, the Bengals are in real trouble. Of course, the Patriots are most likely going to the SB anyway,,but this is the year CINCY SHOULD get a playoff win (unless they have to face Houston for a 3rd time in 5 years).

The Bengals really choked hard on offense last night. Dalton actually looked good on the last drive when they had to try and score a TD. He had them driving, Green just fumbled it away after he caught a pass that would've converted a 1st down deep in tinhorns territory.

-Lots of critical penalties on offense

-Eifert had 2 killer drops on 3rd downs

-Green fumbled at the worst time (he also did that last year in the AFCN Title game vs Pitt in week 17. Bengals were driving in Steelers territory for a winning score,, Green got hit, fumbled, and lost the game)

-Dalton did miss a couple wide open throws.

Anyway, if the Texans get a home playoff game vs Steelers/Radiers/Bills/Jets, I could see them winning it.
Texans have Dalton's #.

Honestly, i think we would stand a good chance against the steelers at home, but that's just me. We played them well last year also.

You're definitely posting in a thread.
Quote:Seriously, they are the best team in Division right now. Our team would of never been able to beat a undefeated team. There defense is better than ours and overall have more talent than us. This win will probably jump start them to close ou division.
That was an impressive performance by their defense.

Having said that, it's way too early to cede anything to them, other than kudos for beating Cincy.

I definitely don't want this to happen, but if anything happens to J.J. Watt and he misses time, that defense changes real fast in a bad way.
From top to bttom, the Texans have the most talent. They have the best defense in the division, so if they win it, it's because of their defense.
The texans do have a solid Def when its healthy and wants to play. Their O is a one man show really tho... But with this division who knows who will limp into the playoffs...

Thats worth seeing. I would love a Jag steeler rematch. They are always classics
They still have to play the Jets, Patriots and (a Tyrod-led) Bills.

We don't.

Jets are reeling, and the Bills are not a top team.

What's your breakdown of the Bills?
To all the losers: If the Texans are so great like you mensas now say, how come you all were crying like little schoolgirls when the Jags lost to them. It should have been a foregone conclusion in your little pea brains.

Morons.....

Cause we had a opportunity to win that game and couldn't close it out. Who said the Texans are so great?

You know, you can probably just copy and paste that response and use it whenever I write anything on here.

How do you do that?

I dunno. Ask somebody that actually uses a computer. I just use a laptop.

The person who declared them the division champs in this thread.

They're not a good football team. The win the other night didn't signal anything about their ascension in the ranks. It just supported the premise that on any given day, even good teams can lose. The AFC South is a bad division and completely wide open.

Declaring them division champs doesn't insinuate that they're great. Are they better than us, yes they are. You don't need to be great to win this division.
