Mularkey vs. Gus Bradley has to be the worst NFL coaching matchup in NFL history.

Quote:Exactly.

Who cares if the other teams in our division are crap? We need to capitalize and so far we have done so.

It's like rooting for your favorite CFB conference... I could care less as long as my team is winning.
We have absolutely not done so.  We've pissed away far too many opportunities.  If this team played even slightly cleaner, we'd be above .500 and have a comfortable lead.  Instead, we are where we are.
Quote:We control our own destiny. We still have four division games.

^^Bingo! That is the key. Division games are what's going to decide this thing IMO.

I feel confident about the games with the Titans (need to win those).

The Colts and Texans games are imperative. Jags have already lost to both of those,, they can't afford to drop those head-to-heads. Jags really need to go at least 3-1 out of the remaining division games to have a chance. There's most likely going to be a tie at 1st with overall records. A losing division record would be a dagger.

But please,, will any team (C'mon Jags!) step up and not let the colts take this thing! That would be utterly depressing if INDY can just have Luck on the bench,, Colts win the division,, and then Luck comes back in for the playoffs.

Gotta win the division games!
Quote:This game was won on a facemask call.

Actually it was a FG but it's nice to see you again Mr. Insult.
We have ourself a stretch of games that could alter the outcome of the afcs.

We have 4 division games in the final 7.

I am very confident we win those 4 we are in.

Let's play hard, support the team, and give our 110% every play.

I haven't been this excited in a long time, lose our win I'm a jags fan for life.
[Its going to come down to week 17]

I have a strong feeling that that game is going to determine our division title hopes.

It might. And if that's the case, I don't like our chances. Jaguars in Houston against the Texans, the hometown crowd, and, let's be honest, refs who want to appease the hometown crowd.

It'd be a huge victory if we hypothetically pull it off. HUGE. And it would speak volumes to this young team.

I think the Colts' schedule catches up to them, and our schedule and the Texans' schedule play out as we "expect"

Possibly.

Houston has games against the Jets, Bills and Patriots over the next month. Their defense has played well the last two games but their offense is struggling moving the ball.

But they faced an offensive juggernaut in the Bengals yesterday. Jets and bills are anything but. I guess we will see.

They are not an offensive juggernaut. They average 0.4 more points per game than Buffalo.

Agree. Although Cincy undoubtedly has talent all over the offense,, their defense and special teams have been crucial in winning at least 4 or 5 of their games. Their defense was very good last night too. They kept stopping Houston over and over,, holding them to 10 points.
I'm just pinching myself in disbelief that we're even talking about playoff possibilities.

We wanted to be relevant in November, well here we are. It's crazy as all get-out, but you can't say we didn't get what we want.

How long can a team remain on the verge of being there, but not quite? We're so 6-3 without a few game losing mistakes. As it stands, we're 3-6, but only one game out of first place in our division. All the Jaguars have to do is play like they're capable of and eliminate those stupid mistakes, and we should go 5-2 over these last seven games. At 8-8, I'm convinced this division is ours.

Quote:If the Ravens scored a TD, then yes...

Wat? We stopped them after the missed fg, from the same spot they woulda started after a kick off

I'm just rolling my eyes in disbelief that we're talking about playoffs. Rolleyes The only way this happens is because it's the AFC South. Anyplace else and the Jags would only be contenders in the toilet bowlNinja

Does it really matter how in the hell you get there?!?

Have you actually been around long enough to realize how big this could be? Where have you been the last decade? Jags and playoffs were only a myth or mathematically impossible by week 10.. Who cares how we get there. Who cares what division they come from.. Just get there!!
