I would rather Chris Smith be getting his snaps. IMO Branch is a complete zero as a football player. He does not offer anything positive to a team.

Sacking Mariota on TNF was the only significant thing he's done the past two seasons... I don't understand why he (and Clemons) continue to start over Chris Smith and Ryan Davis if he gets windmilled into the turf or pushed back 10 yards after every snap. Is this coaching staff really that stupid or stubborn? Doing the same thing over and over again isn't going to change ANYTHING.

 

Dante Fowler would be more productive with a jello leg at the moment... I can definitely see him wobbling and leaping on the QB before grandpa Clemons or Branch can.

yeah... I think Branch will be thrown in the fire after this season.

Apparently the downside to giving snaps to other players is just too much to bench Branch and Clemons. It's laughable. These guys are absolute 0's on the field and not benching them is one of the most confounding things from this season, which is saying something. There's no rationale that makes sense.

I can at least see the logic in playing Branch this year; "let's give him every chance to show us if there's any reason to re-sign him."

 

Why Clemons continues to play is mind-boggling to me.

 

That said, I still don't understand why a pass-rushing DE who's so bad at pass-rushing is put in coverage on what would be the team's last chance to stay in the game. /facepalm

Well, he sucks at pass rushing, so I guess he has to do something, right? I mean, it's not like he can ride the pine. He MUST be on the field!
