Archer was one of the players who had a Pre-Draft visit with the team in 2014. When you are trying to make an impression on your boss ( Martha Ford ) in the hopes of beating the odds to remain as the team's G.M in 2016, a player like Archer is worth rolling the dice on.
If Archer gets to the Jags waiver claim spot, his versatility could easily be enough for Dave Caldwell to claim him.
