I'm surprised only 2 Jags made the list..
No worries, we can draft a kicker with the #1 pick.
Jason the Hockey mask killer
Myers the Halloween killer
Coincidence?

When the national media expects nothing of anyone except the quarterback (who has been pretty good), what's to disappoint?
 Congratulations Jason Meyers. You earned this distinction. :ermm:
(sarcasm font engaged)
How can a kicker be a top disappointed player? Did people actually have high expectations of him?
I would put Marcedes in the cover page of that magazine.

He wouldn't care if he won or lost that award, only if the process was good.
Looks like the Jaguars actually lucked out with Joekel because you know full well this would have been our pick had the Chiefs taken Joekel...

Eric Fisher

<div>The No. 1 overall pick of the 2013 NFL draft, Kansas Chiefs offensive lineman Eric Fisher has been a stunning disappointment. Fisher has received sparse playing time, and has struggled in pass protection when he has played. It’s looking more and more like Fisher will end up being a bust.

I gets looked over rather easily, but he's a rookie. The learning experience he's getting this year playing at different stadiums is invaluable. Myers still has a strong leg and a chance to develop into a great NFL kicker. Since we're not going anywhere this season, so what if he costs us a couple games?
I'm surprised MSN is still a thing.

... along with M. Lee, whom I think probably needs to see the field more before he should be on the list.
If he were on the field more he wouldn't need to be on the list. I'm hoping by missing the London trip and having this extra time to heal up with the bye that follows, that Marquis will finally be good to go for the Jaguars next game at the Jets on November 8th.

You're putting way too much emphasis into being a rookie for the kicker position.

So every other position gets a chance to learn as a rookie, but not Kickers?

Scobee screwed up a few in his rookie season too. Im not fully aboard the myer train but its too early to give up on him
Considering scobee isn't even in the league anymore, I think we actually dodged a bullet, and got a 6th round pick out of it.
Why do these simple facts escape so many people?

Every other position has so, so much to learn. It's not even a comparison. Myers has been terrible even for a rookie kicker this year.

Not really. As I watch the cut-ups of all the games each week, this year I've seen a ton of misses and those include extra points by all sorts of kickers. Myers was just glaring because of how the game ended up, although they were long FGs, and that last one in the Colts game he had nailed before the wind somehow stole it at the last second. But again, that kick was a good learning experience for him when it comes to kicking in one of our rival team's stadium.
