Quote:There are 32 head coaches in the NFL. The supply is much bigger than the demand (Economics 101). Potential coaches are not going to wait around for the New England job to come open because when it does, it's not going to have Brady. This is a very attractive market with $23 million in salary cap and already has it's QB of the future.

Good post. Also, the one positive keeping Bradley for the remainder of the year is it shows a new candidate that they will get a fair shot and not be fired after a year.
Quote:No I've been. But downtown Jacksonville isn't all unicorns and rainbows either. Would you walk around 8th street after nightfall by yourself? How about Myrtle ave?

I think the point is it is nicer overall. Every big city has bad spots.
Need to keep Gus for now. Interim HC would win more and hurt our chance of drafting in the top 5.
Quote:I was downtown last week (past the stadium) for the first time in forever and I was shocked by how much things are still the same. It is really pretty sad to be honest. I don't know how they plan to "fix" it.

It requires vision for one. That is something city leaders have lacked when it comes to down town. We have an owner with vision who has proven to be a savvy business man. You mentioned you don't care if they leave and the city will go on, but it won't ever reach the potential it has without vision and dollars. Yeah, it'll go on, just won't be the better version of itself that it can be.
I'm not really sure how many people don't realize this at this point, but this offense is clearly in the right direction and has made leaps and bounds in all stats since last year. This team looks 10x more appealing to coach now than it has been in prob the last decade. Need some actual decent coaching to make the offense that much better and the defense up to at least acceptable.

Are we really at an all time low where this is literally a positive? Wow. Wow.

I think everyone realizes this.

You can view it how you want, but I'm sure it is a factor for coaches.  What is up with the double Wow?  Wow. Wow. Wow.  Now that really drives the point home.

You obviously know what the double wow is, you clearly alluded to it from the beginning of your second meaningless post.

I'm glad you think a coach could be looking at coaching this team thinking oh wow, I might get a full 16 games instead of 8... nice thinking dude.
The offense has made leaps and bounds in the passing game. That's about it. The running game is abysmal. The run blocking is a joke up front. The pass protection is shakey at best and most of the plays made in the passing game are a direct result of Blake dancing around and making plays outside of the pocket. At the end of the day. You record is what matters. Not your stats, not your offensive and defensive rankings. We're 1 - 5. And that's a direct result of very, very COSTLY turnovers on offense. The inability to effecitvely run the football to chew up time of possession and give your defense a breather. And the overall collapse of this defense in all phases of it. Especially in the front four where average QB's like Hasselbeck, Hoyer and Winston look like all-stars with all day to throw.

Don't u think that keeping an awful coach whose record is 8-30 proves the patience of the franchise???? Lol, think that through...

lol, yep, If keeping a HC who starts his first season 0-8, his 2nd season 1-10 and his 3rd season 1-5 (and counting) doesn't show patience I don't know what to tell you.
