#Chiefs and star G Laurent Duvernay-Tardif are finalizing a 5-year, $41.25M extension. Huge payday for the Canadian doctor-to-be.
Zeitler, Lang, Warford, and Leary just started drooling...
Well at this point it relatively matters as JPP just got tagged and Ingram will be soon.
We'll just have to focus on Oline and a top CB as I don't think they'll go heavy on other pass rushers.

The offensive line has always been our top priority anyway.
I might just be out of the Guard market entirely at this point. Osemele is averaging 11, these guys might go into the 12-13 range and thats not a number im cool with on the oline for anyone but a left tackle tbh

Very true it has to be.

As the cap goes up, so will the market value.
The market for Zeitler was set last season by Osemele.

It doesn't bother me one bit. We have a ton of cap money and we have to spend some of it somewhere. We might as well get the best players we can with front loaded contracts. I'd have no problem giving Zeitler $12.5 million per season if that's what it takes. Front load it so he gets most of the money in the first 2 years and we're set.

Welcome to the new NFL.
The thing to remember though is that LT money is also rising; it's just that elite left tackles don't hit free agency. They'd easily reach $15 million+ if they were on the open market.

Nah i just dont believe guards are worth that much now that really seeing it.

Come again?
I still think the Jags can nab Lang on a deal similar to Beachums. One year prove it deal with a huge option attached.
If you want a decent veteran guard, the Jags will need to pay the present market value. If this this team is to improve, the OL must be addressed. I don't feel any better in losing games knowing that my team spends less money.

I agree. I'd like them to throw the bank at Zeitler. If they are serious about giving Blake one more shot, then fix the damn line and don't be cheap about it.
I laughed at the title of this thread...I'm easily amused.
Just remove the space...totally different meaning.
I have zero issue paying the market for a guard. It will make all the difference in the world in the run game. We have the money, give it away.
I won't be surprised though if we are a bit disappointed by this free agency period. I have a feeling we'll carry over money again.
Since all the pass rushers are getting tagged i say double down on OL and sign two premiere OL FA, one at guard and one at RT.

You and me both .... could've easily been ***
Yeah, the OP probably should have spelled out the words...this is not the appropriate time for abbreviations.

I can't wait to see Caldwell and Coughlin just making it rain on the top FA G's in March. It's going to be
fabulous.
