GO JAGS!!
GO JAGS!!

I see nothing wrong with this. As long as the Jaguars don't have any more home games taken away from them each year.

The thing is, SOMEONE will have home games taken away from them. If you take it too far, you will alienate fanbases.

It's a double edged sword in my opinion. As far as how it's currently set up (home games in London), it's been good not only for the NFL, but for the Jaguars in particular. Without the London market there is a possibility that the team could have been at risk to move. As much as we hate losing a home game, it keeps the franchise profitable.
I can understand the NFL's want to expand globally, especially in today's day and age, but doing too much too soon could be a down fall.

Based on the NFL wanting to play more and more games outside the U.S. , the best solution would be for the league to come up with an agreement with the NFLPA to expand the regular season to 17 games. With each team playing a neutral site game. In part of the exchange, the NFL would expand the rosters to at least 56 players. The Jags fans would benefit by this as the team would no longer lose a home game in Jacksonville each season.

Actually, that sounds pretty reasonable.

Thanks.
The key is getting the NFLPA to agree to this. Many players are against the NFL regular season schedule increasing to 17 games. Enough of a financial carrot will have to be put on the table to get the NFLPA to sign off on this. Higher salaries and more jobs ( roster spots ) would almost certainly have to be offered to the NFLPA as part of a potential agreement.

Heard the jags could have an away game in Germany.

It's neat to know the NFL is expanding, I just hope this doesn't hurt the jags some how. I do love D6s idea

I feel this is the best approach as well. They should also reduce the preseason to two games and increase the number of joint practices/scrimmages between neighboring non-conference teams. This would be an additional concession to the NFLPA (and quite frankly to season ticket holders as well) in exchange for the additional regular season game.
This could lead to 4, maybe more, international neutral site cities (London, Berlin, Mexico City and Tokyo come to mind as they have all hosted preseason games in the past I believe) that would each host 4 games (or less if there are more than 4 neutral sites) which would total 16 neutral site games which would cover all 32 teams.
Whenever the topic of neutral site games gets brought up on NFL media outlets like SiriusXM radio, I'm always a little shocked this broader view doesn't get much traction or even get discussed at all.

Agreed, D6. It would take that, at a minimum, to get the NFLPA to add game in my opinion.
I think the length of the preseason might be looked at too.
I wish they would look at adding more contact practice time, as it used to be, and shorten the preseason.
I can't help but think the seemingly higher number of injuries might be a reflection of reduced practice and contact in practice.

Nfl owners are billionaire lawyers. They have influence and connections to government etc.
Maybe they are pushing other country teams because they already know about a safe form of faster travel that's being developed.
That's not a stretch to believe at this point in history

That's actually the definition of a stretch.

Not remotely a stretch. The government and extremely wealthy know things well In advance of the public and use it/test it/distribute it as they see fit.

I'm sure you've compiled mounds of "evidence" for how we couldn't possibly have gone to the moon as well, but in this instance it's about the money. Always has been, always will be. There's more room for growth of the game internationally than there is at home. It's that simple.
I'm sure methods and speed of travel will develop over time, but to insinuate that some new, about to be released technology that is being hidden from the public and is capable of transporting approximately 50 players plus coaches and support personnel faster than a traditional airline and, on top of that, that this is what's driving NFL international expansion is laughable. Actually this technology already exists but disappeared because it isn't economically viable. It was called the Concorde. If it was coming back, we'd hear about it. No need for a conspiracy theory.
Honestly guy... which is more likely?
a)The NFL sees virtually untapped markets it wants to exploit and can already do so with present air travel technology or
b)super secret, classified and redacted, Area 51 tech is about to drop on us that will revolutionize travel and the NFL owners already know about it.
One of the above is observed in business all the time, the other requires "stretching" the imagination.
