I like what some poster said earlier.... Marqise "Rare" Lee

Quote:Nah, hold him out til around week 9 or 10 and see how it goes. We should still be in the race for the division by then if JT, Marks, and Bortles are playing well.

It'd be amazing for this team to win the title this year and get to the play-offs. We'd more than likely get our butts kicked once we get there, but it's a great step for this group next year. Team has to play well and win these division games. We'll see how it goes Sunday...

If we win Sunday, I think you're right...  If we lose Sunday and then lose again against the Bucs, just shelf him...

I know people will probably think I'm being "knee jerk" here, but I think alot rides on Sunday.  The psyche of this team, if we lose Sunday, will be damaged...  If we lose Sunday, I don't see how we beat the Bucs the following week.

Conversely, I think a win Sunday propels us into a play-off contender based on the weaknesses of our division.  But if we can't pull off a win against a beatable clots team, I don't think the buy in to the Gus Juice lasts much longer with the players...

A game of musts lays ahead on this first Sunday of October.

Side Note:  I'm beginning to realize I'm taking this team waaaaay too seriously...  We probably lose handily...  I don't know why I even care this much...  But I do.  This game is HUGE.  This game is Donald Trump HUGE...
AHHH I HURT MAH HAMMY, I CAN'T GOES TO WORK TOMORROW!!!! Guess I'll heal it up with some vodka........

You care because you love the team.
The Jags need to assign a personal stretcher for him, so whenever he isn't on the field, his hamstrings are being stretched. I don't know why he can't stay loose, but it shouldn't be an issue in the Florida heat. Also get a wheelchair for him so he doesn't walk until he has done his stretching.

Agree 100% this game can make or break the season.

Guess I know what Marqise Lee will be doing on Sundays now.

Good one!!
Quote:If we had Fowler, we could have won that Carolina game.

Fowler got hurt in non contact.

He would've probably died if a lineman touched him.
Meanwhile Steve Smith loosening up and doing all he can to return after four broken ribs. Some people just more sensitive/fragile than others

He did not play a snap after that hit. But I agree that the pain tolerance between different humans can be enormous.

That's weird because I didn't see him come back in the game. So I'm not sure what loosening up has to do with anything. Secondly a pulled hamstring isn't something you want to or probably even can play on especially when you are a player like marqise who is a speed guy that needs to make full strides. Good try though man. People just make stupid accusations that they have no information on.

I swear some people on this board are just looking for things to complain about. What a horrible life that must be.

Sucks hes a bust, but thats just how we roll. Maybe one day we will get an actual playmaker in the early rounds.

I agree we should have gotten Cooper 1st. We need to be able to score and move the ball cause we still are where we were last year not being able to do it the whole game. We had time to get a defensive player cause our guys are still sold and most edge rushers are over paid (Watt) can be canceled from that. Walters has pretty good hands and can help alot. The biggest issue is TEs if they can get with it that will help Allen R and Hurns.

What has happen to Greene. I haven't noticed him since the hit he took against the Phins.

He's on injured reserve. I think its some finger/hand problem if I remember correctly.

JJ Watt is the best pass rusher in the game and doesn't really help that team get their wins up. Hell he couldn't help his team beat Carolina. He helps their defense and improves it but the impact just isn't the same as a #1 receiver. Julio Jones proves when he's hurt his team sucks but when he's out there they're a different animal. That's our problem, we can't score worth a damn.

We got sacks last year and found some pressure but are offense was trash. Looks to be in the same position this year too. I don't even think Fowler was the correct defensive man to take at that spot anyway. Cooper would've been hell on this team with Robinson, Hurns, Yeldon, and Thomas. Bet they draft a true 1 early next draft.
For as young as Lee is he is way too unreliable to be counted on. Put this guy on extended IR and forget about him until next year. What he's doing is indicative of two possibilities;

(1) this cat is made of glass and just way too injury prone for the NFL. He may be fast; he may even be able to catch the ball; but you can't count on him to play come game day, which makes him a waste of a roster spot on this team.

(2) this cat doesn't really want to play for the Jags and this is his way of trying to get released.

Either way, write this guy off as being someone to count on to contribute this season. He was a gamble when he was drafted and the gamble didn't pay out this time.

He had surgery on a thumb tendon, he's IR designated to return in November.
