Thursday, October 1st (October already!?!?)

This week is pretty loaded up!

Miami at Cincinnati 7:30

- Miami gets Tubberville's crew after a week off. Not a terrible Thursday night game. Tommy's crew can score the ball, not a lot of defense, but they can put points up.

Saturday, October 3rd

South Carolina at Missouri 12:00

- Both need wins, bad.

#23 West Virginia at #15 Oklahoma 12:00

- I think WV wins. They have a pretty good team. Under the radar a bit right now.

Texas at #4TCU

- Will Texas perform in this in state match up? Or will it get ugly?

Air Force at Navy 3:30

- Always a good one with some great offenses. Navy has a good team this year, and AF isn't to shabby themselves. Good game here.

#13 Alabama at #8 Georgia 3:30

- I still think Georgia is getting to much love, not as good as the ranking, or as good as some like to think. This week could help prove me right or very wrong.

Texas Tech at #5 Baylor 3:30

- Two teams who can score. TT can play, and they can score. Could be another shoot out.

#3 Ole Miss at #25 Florida 7:00

-First real test for Florida. Ole Miss had a hiccup last week after the big Bama win. This game will tell a lot either way.

#21 Miss. St at #14 Texas A&M 7:30

- I think A&M rolls here. Could be wrong, but get that feeling. They didn't match up well with Arkansas. They are built to play with the likes of Miss. St.

#6 ND at #12 Clemson 8:00

- Another good one. ND has had a good season so far. I am not sure if we know how good Clemson is or isn't. In my opinion ND hasn't really played anyone yet. GT is down, way down, and they had a chance to win it in South Bend.

Arizona at #18 Stanford 10:30

-Good Pac 12 match up late.

What others are you looking forward to?

Man, this is a good weekend to stay on the couch! A few that I'd like to add:

Arkansas @ Tennessee - Is Butch a good enough coach to bring the team around after that meltdown this past Saturday?

Oregon @ Colorado - What just happened to Oregon? Was that something to be worried about?

The first really strong weekend of the year.

I think TCU is going to lay it on Texas. And the Longhorns have Oklahoma next weekend. They can easily be 1-5 and have games at Baylor and at West Virginia later in the season.

I am always leery of buying into Georgia. Richt seems to get them just far enough. Even if they beat Alabama, they will turn around and lose to a team like Auburn or Florida later in the year.
FSU and wake forest. Game of the week!
Two teams I like this week:

Miss St +7.5

Texas Tech +15

I think both of these teams can either win or just keep it closer than these spreads.

I'm currently 13-13 in my NCAAF picks in case anybody is wondering. 50% of the time I'm right every time.

I don't know who to root for or against in the Georgia/Alabama game. If Alabama wins, they go back into the top 10. Georgia is already up there. I wish both teams could lose.

I worry about TCU winning every week, but after TTU nearly beat them last week, I wonder if Texas can give them a hard time. GO LONGHORNS!

The other Battle of Texas probably will not end with over 100 points. but still be fun to watch. GO RAIDERS!

And of course, I will be watching UF play. GO GATORS!

UGA definitely overvalued at this point. They handled South Carolina, woopty doo. They are a one-dimensional team that has not been tested yet.

I like Alabama this week.
TravC59 stepped up his game as well for this critical Week 5

... good supplemental comments !!
