Never quite understood the obsession with what other teams fans are saying about us. This is even worse than worrying what the media thinks about is. Some couch potato with a wi-fi connection isn't going to change the outcome of this game.

Very True but nice for myself talk football with people who dont think Brady walks on water lol

Agreed, but there are those out there looking to be offended by something.  It's a never-ending quest.

But what if they stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night?

I think it's quite obvious. It's so that we can laugh at their limited understanding of our team based on what they've seen on ESPN, because they're lazy fools with no football knowledge of their own. While we mock their team based on what we've seen on ESPN.

Fans are gonna fan.
Quote:With Spygate, I take my lumps it was stupid and they did it. Deflategate not so much, esp since NO ONE knows what they dang PSI were/are before then, because NO ONE TRULY CARED! lol All started by whining crybaby teams (I am sooo looking forward to seeing Brady and Co take on the Colts this year!)
Maybe you shouldn't take any lumps? I am sorry, but Goodell changing the wording of the rule and sending out a memo based on Woody Johnson's demands as he tried to weaken the Pats, and Belichick mocking that from across the field with Mangini whining that Belichick was "[BAD WORD REMOVED] in his face", is not cheating.

Good grief.

We just saw them lie and edit the Wells Report, to form a narrative they wanted. Goodell changed the wording of the gameday manual.  24 NFL teams need to vote on rule changes.  That never happened with the filming rule.

All NFL teams film one another, for decades, even to this day. The JEts saw BB violate a technicality and POUNCED.  Goodell was in on it and decided to weaken the Pats with an outlandish punishment for two former friends in the middle of a spat.

How much more proof do we need of this? That was 8 years ago and every year that goes by we learn more and more and more what a farce it is.  It's just that ESPN doesn't educate the public just like when Mortensen lied because Goodell told him to.

Do you know why Goodell destroyed those tapes BB sent in and why the Walsh tapes showed exactly what BB said? Because Goodell knew if the other teams on NE's tapes, filming them, he'd have to punish all  31 other teams in the same fashion or his punishment and odd ruling, would come off just like that:  ODD.

WHy did he single out the Pats? PARITY opportunity. It's just that simple.  SOme owners and GMS are colluding with Goodel, forcing him to look for reasons to punish NE to weaken our team. It's a fact. We know this now and Spygate was no different.

These are sanctioned witch hunts by a power drunk, supposed Marketing Guru named Goodell, who took a page from Josef Goebbels propaganda book.

"The Polish Army is at the border, ready to attack!"

Please.  I am just not that stupid and nor should you be.

NE traded for moss and Welker, signed Seau and were set to go undefeated. Goodell knew it and took a shot at their 1st rd draft pick, hoping it would hurt them. WHo knows, maybe with our usual nice 1st rd picks, in SB 46, we win that one, instead of losing it?

As a fellow Pats fan, you need to do some homework. Every single old school coach from John Madden, to Bill Cowher (retiring in 2005 1 year before Goodell took over), back Belichick,

Basically, GOodell has lied twice with 2 separate witch hunts, he wants dumb people to believe in order to weaken the Pats to try to maintain parity.

LOok at the league right now....There is no parity.  The cap era was meant to have parity. The Pats appear to be loaded for bear for years to come, fresh off another SB appearance. Goodell hates this because it could affect the measurables he's held to by the owners. Rooney said something recently about Goodell not being fired because the new CBA sets up a cash windfall for trhe NFL/owners. Ironically, Kraft was the one who brokered the deal in 2011.

Fact is, Goodell is a LIAR.  Any NFL fan who doesn't know this by now is a liar themselves, dumb or disingenuous.

Belichick knew he was being singled out by Woody Johnson and Goodell (ex Jets employee), so he thumbed his nose ON PURPOSE on the Jets sidelines.  PLain and simple. Again, that is not cheating. It might be a tad unprofessional and petty, but it's not in any way cheating.

Every single damn NFL team in the NFL films one another and we have no idea what other teams have on us.

It's become FACTUAL at this point that Goodell does what he does to try to keep parity.

If the Pats have another good season, they're on their way to a 5th STRAIGHT AFC title game, a new modern NFL record, and quite frankly, possibly forming another dynasty.  WHo goes to 5 straight conf title games in a cap league like this?  This is like the 1950s Browns for crying out loud and the entire system is set to block what our Pats are doing.

Translation? Goodell hates this because it's bad for business. His entire sales pitch to move Jacksonville to London (yep, it will happen folks/don't think Khan is set in Jax), is about PARITY.

Years from now when Belichick writes a biography all of this will come out.  Belichick thumbing his noise at the JEts and Goodell is not cheating.

I trust primary sources, actually NFL coaches, who know the truth and are honest about it over ESPN or moron liars who want to sleep better at night because the PAts didn't kiss their butts somewhere along the way,

Belichick is a football coach and GM ,the best ever at both, and owes no one an apology.

Go look on You Tube and search on "Madden filming signals".........Enjoy!

Every week I do this, some fans say they are afraid of losing or having a hard time winning. It is fun because we actually get respect from fans of opponents on their boards.
Quote:Anyone know if Joeckel is starting
Wouldn't put it past Belichick to know which opposing players are playing.

Belichick knows if Joeckel is active, he will start. All inactives must be reported before kickoff per NFL rules.
Lets get this thread back on topic and off the Pats past transgressions.

Personally I have quite a few Patriots fans that are good friends. They will defend their team just as all of us would our Jags.
Jags aren't winning Sunday because Brady says so.

Great idea. I would not have started this thread i expected this to happen. Fortunately there will be no such arguments next week.

Not until my simple yes or no question is answered. The Almighty and the Dark One are anxious for a reply. It was conveniently ducked.
As a Patriots fan, I can say that I don't hear much talk about you guys. Not to show disrespect, but we have a 9-1 lifetime record against Jacksonville (reg. and post season), and looking at the two teams in week 3, I don't think anyone is really saying much. I know most Pats fans are looking at one game on our schedule, Oct. 18 against the Colts, so a game like this isn't getting much attention. However, I doubt this is gonna fall into that "trap" game mentality, as Brady and Patriots have a lot to prove to a lot of different people/teams/entities. I expect Patriots to win easily, but that's just based off talent and the circumstances of the Patriots 2015 season.

Yes, the weak link is the Patriots secondary right now. The d line not so much, and the linebackers, they really look good. The linebackers are the bright spot. If the secondary can settle down a bit and find themselves, I expect them to be capable and only get better. But this offense will bail out the defense more times than not this early part of the year, and I don't see Jacksonville being able to both stop Brady *and* burn the secondary.

Plus another reason it's pretty quiet, is unlike Buffalo, you guys seem to understand that the game is won on Sunday and not at a Tuesday press conference. I'm a lifelong Patriots fan, but I must say I never in my entire life saw a week leading up to a game where the opponent, from the head coach on down, just continued to disrespect and outright disparage a team. Most teams understand mind games really don't work against the Patriots, but Rex, who has been in our division for a looooong time, he still doesn't understand that, and keeps getting burned by it.

With the Patriots coming home after the win in Buffalo, the fans are going to be amped and so will the Patriots. I just don't see any scenario where Jacksonville comes out with a win. Jacksonville would need it's best game in a long time and Patriots would need their worst in a long time.

Well said. I pretty much agree with everything here. Man I wish Garoppolo was starting...
I don't think it'll take worst (pats) and best (Jags) game for Jags to win. This is the NFL. Jags have players that can make big time offensive plays (Bortles, Arob and Lee). We also have a very solid D. I'm not expecting to win, but if we are + on turnover margin and take advantage of key situations we could certainly win the game. If pats are mistake free than I don't see us winning simply because we aren't there yet.
It'll be funny when Jacksonville wins because our headsets are messed with, and our team is run competently by our players!

I'm taking PatsFanNH's silence to my direct question to be a resounding Yes.

If you have a qb that can play then you got a chance.

We have a qb that can play.
