That's the thing. He wasn't signed to be a run stuffer. He was given $60 million guaranteed, and compensated like a top tier QB to be a difference maker. Through 2 weeks with the phins, he's been anything but.

The Jags defense held the Miami RBs to 19 yards in 12 carries, 1.6 yards per carry. If Suh dominated in the middle based on 2.8 yards per carry does that make Alualu an all-pro?

I stated he stifled the run game. The initial sentiment coming to this game was that Suh was licking his chops to get on track coming to face the jags. He was supposed to blow up virtually every play because he is a once in a generational player. This guy was paid JJ Watt money and against the lowly Jaguars and our no name linemen he was supposed to be a major factor.
Roy Miller did exactly what Suh did yesterday. I would have never predicted that going into this game. Anything close to that production is a none factor for Suh.
I would go to further say Miller played better because the Dolphins failed to reach 45 rushing yards and he got in on half a sack for 1/12 of the money.
Detroits scheme suited Suh down to a tee.He'll be back to his old self once he gets used to Miami's.
His play seemed uninspired yesterday.

What's telling is that the Dolphins have a very good defensive line, and if you look at the stat lines for their studs, there's a whole lot of zero coming out of the game yesterday. Cameron Wake was invisible. They didn't call his name once. I went and checked the stats, and Suh outplayed him by a tackle.

Odrick had 2 tackles, a sack, and a forced fumble.
There's something to be said for using cap space wisely, even when you're $30M under the cap.
Our Oline punched their Dline in mouth yesterday and it felt great.

It didn't hurt that he was playing with a little extra motivation yesterday. Hopefully that fire says lit.

Suh was a non factor no matter how some may twist it. Look at play-by-play breakdown and the Jags targeted the middle with the run and yet Suh had one tackle. Where was he besides taking up space laying on the ground. He was paid to be a penetrating DT and well, that happened one time on a whiff by Linder. All in all, I would say Linder and Wiz got the best of him early and made him quit.
I don't know if I'd sign Wiz to a new contract now. Wait until the end of the season. There will be some options. I'd make a bigger push to sign Alex Mack in the offseason than sign Wiz. Wiz held his own, but he isn't dominant... More like adequate - which feels like a win because its been since 3 or 4 years before Meester retired since the last time we had that. I'd rather go with the 2nd best center in the game than an above average center. Wiz is a great fall back option if that doesn't work.

I am a Browns fan as well. Woods from the Titans bullrushed Mack around all day. I would give Mack the full year to see how he is rebounding from injury before anointing him the second best C in the league.

That's fair. Prior to injury, he was the second best. If he returns to form, or close, then pay him. If not, resign Wiz towards the end of the season.
