Quote:The new Albert Haynesworth

honestly he really is
Yeldon is the real deal. He isn't afflicted with the happy feet so many aspiring rookie RBs suffer from when entering the NFL. You know, the endless juking trying to find a hole - which almost always ends in lost yardage. Yeldon picks a line and squeezes every last inch out of a rush.
Quote:Brown seems to be in good position more often than previous FSs we have had out there. He had a good break on that first deflection that the Miami reciever caught for a long reception. Kind of a fluke play.

He's been so much better than I expected. And he seems to be a pretty good leader also.
You know who had a quietly nice game? Josh Evans.

Why is everybody praising Yeldon. He did have nice runs, good wiggle, cut, and vision. But he only avg 2.8 yards per carry for the game.  Similiar to what the White Rhino averages.

Yeldon is an impressive guy. Seems slow, but footwork is unbelievable.

I didn't expect anything from Skuta when he has signed. But he is a really good surprise.

Parnell and Linder...WOW ! The right side of the Oline is one of the best I've seen in Jax.

he is showing good agility and power when he has room to run.  you really think he isn't better than Gerhart?

Slow?

Because he made yards when many times there were not yards to be made. When we start opening a little more holes he's going to be even better.

It doesn't look like he has that MJD, Fred Taylor home run ability.
Poz continues to quiet the haters.

Yeldon praise is more about the "potential" that seems to be there aligned with the skills he seems to posses.  He is a rookie and has work to do but at least there are a base set of skills that pass the eye test.

For Example:

He can move through traffic and keep good balance.

He isn't careless with the football.

He has good lateral movement and seems to "hop" to the opening.

Sometimes sticking with the run will lower the stats but he seems like he will be fun to watch.

Hopefully Denard is good to go. We need all the fresh RBs we can get.

Denard seems to gets dinged up to easily every game he plays.  He's not gonna last long in the NFL.

He is a backup running back right now.  He will last just as long as anybody else.

And no, he doesn't get hurt every game.

Quote:Suh got paid and is cruising. I noticed a couple plays where his effort was a joke.
I saw suh get stopped in his tracks on several plays.

after which his effort was really really bad.

I also saw his mean streak...but he had no success most of the game

He wasn't drafted to be explosive.  He was drafted to be the workhorse.  The Jaguars needed a guy they could rely upon to give them more manageable down and distance during drives.  As he develops, that's what he should do for the offense.

TRUE!

Came in for James Sample and defense improved.

On the money.

Watched with a few friends yesterday and they all had good things to say about Yeldon. How about that play where he lowered his shoulder on the sideline and blew up Brent Grimes? We have an every down back people I believe that.
Sergio's spin move during his blitz was a thing of beauty.

Looked like young Freeney!
