Quote:It is a must win for HC Gus Bradley considering a long four week road trip that starts with the Patriots!  He does not want to start the season 0-3, and most people don't expect a win against Tom Brady & the Patriots on the road.

If Gus cant win against Miami at home, than look out this season will be exactly like last years.

Double Uh Oh

Quote:The Jags just don't have the look of a good team. Something seems off. It's like a killer instinct isn't there. It's like they are soft. It's like they are happy scoring 10 points and being done.

This whole situation is starting to feel like the Del Rio days.

Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur.
I know the fins aren't very good.... but we're even worse.

Quote:It feels like every time we come across the phins as of recent years, we always lose. But this Miami team who struggled against WASHINGTON is very beatable... no run offense and an mediocre QB at best. I think if we can cause turnovers and get Yeldon in a groove, we can walk away with a win. He looked good last week, lets see if he can get 20+ carries, and if not, let Denard and him split carries. Oh yeah, and as long as Blake can manage the game, and make a few throws downfield without turning the ball over

If your right about Washington having no run offense, that's great news considering they put up 161 rushing yards with Morris rushing for 121 yards and a 4.8 ypc. Then again, considering their qb situation they had little choice but to run all day. I noticed watching the cut-ups of the game that the Redskins kept shooting themselves in the foot with penalties. Had the played a clean game they might have won.

Miami is beatable, but the Jags can not shoot themselves with pick 6s and no pass rush.

Bortles claimed he learned from the pick-six. I hope that's true considering he now leads the league in pick-sixes since the start of last year (I read this on FB so it must be true). It might be five total, but I think it's five from last year plus this one for a total of six.

Quote:We always play better on the road. Don't know why, but it's good they have a lengthy away trip.
That's because Gus Bradley gives the team 3 scoops of ice cream for competing after road games. Home games as we all know, are only 2 scoops.

Ice-cream jokes are lame.
If the Jags play JDR football, run run the ball, lots of running the ball, game manager qb plays (short safe passes, throw deep when it is absolutely there), play solid bend but down break D, Myers hit his fgs with consistency, this team has a chance. If the Jags play coach Bradley's style, no caution, they will lose.

I think their funny and I'd rather talk about our wins, but they come once in a blue moon.
I think it's time we turn things around against Miami..... Start our run.

I'm predicting a huge game for bort!!

"no run offense and an mediocre QB at best."  Sounds like this poster is talking about my Jags.

Miami is a good team, man.

Quote:I think Miami is an easier matchup than Carolina, and I really think the Jaguars should've beaten Carolina but they shot themselves in the foot with the turnovers & as HC Gus Bradley said by not being aggressive enough on Offense.
lol

Tannehill, Landry, Miller, Cameron, Stills, Parker, Jennings....... You right. Offense is just like Carolina.

I'm not saying we can't win but this Miami team is better than Carolina and I don't think we matchup well against them.
Quote:You are not making any sense.

1. The longest away trips always resulted in blowouts.

2. Miami is in Florida, not a "lengthy away trip" for us.

3. We have played some good games at our stadium.

Miami is going to crush the Jaguars, it's that simple.

Mike Kaye reported that Bradley said Bowanko could see action on Sunday. Not as a center but possibly right (or left tackle).

Bradley foresees former starting center Luke Bowanko being active on Sunday. He's been working at right tackle in practice.

On Joeckel in fact:

Bradley on Luke Joeckel's injury: "He was doing pretty good today over at practice. I know he's been in the pool and he was walking around today and moving around so he's another one that we'll have to wait and see another day what it gives us.

On Parnell: Bradley admitted that right tackle Jermey Parnell could play on the left side in an "extreme case.
