Miami was supposed to crush the Redskins as well. Quite frankly, if the Redskins didn't accrue so many penalties, they probably would have won that game.

I'm not saying the Jaguars win outright, but I see them putting up a fight. Landry is good, but ARob, selected in the draft ahead of Lowery, is no slouch either. What concerns me is our LT being on crutches. I'm hoping it turns out he can still play, but if not I'm questioning if I should even pick the Jaguars. I just read the Jaguars have given up four sacks our more in eight straight games making for the longest streak in the NFL, and without Joekel in there I'm thinking it'll be nine straight games.

The Redskins are terrible but they are lightyears ahead of us in terms of talent. They stomped us last year at home.

It looked that way on the scoreboard as they got away from us, but when you watched the game it sure seemed like the Jaguars were playing just as good. That was a weird game.

That was week two last year. We've closed the gap considerably since.

The Dolphins are a better team then the Panthers. That doesn't mean we can't beat them I just means we need to play clean, no drops no interceptions and give Blake time in the pocket. The defense played ok last week and any team needs to score more then 9 points if it expects to win in the NFL.

Quote:The Jags just don't have the look of a good team. Something seems off. It's like a killer instinct isn't there. It's like they are soft. It's like they are happy scoring 10 points and being done.

This whole situation is starting to feel like the Del Rio days.

Except we actually won games in the Del Rio days

I liked how we matched up with Carolina a lot more than with Miami. I'd be shocked if we do beat Miami. Actually, it's a very important game because we have New England and Indy after.

Our defense played ok against a poor Carolina offense, but Miami has a heck of a lot of talent at the skill positions. I am absolutely terrified with what their defensive line will potentially do to Bortles. Hope the running game has success, otherwise it'll be a long game.
I've been saying all week that I feel the Jaguars have a decent shot at an upset here.

That said, I now have to pick the game for real. I want to believe. I'm trying to believe. It's just when I try to picture the game, I keep picturing Bortles getting sacked after a DE blows by Sam Young.

Help me to believe.

The games count now in my FB group full of curse-happy 17-year-olds. I need to win. Should I pick the Jaguars are just go the safe route and pick the Dolphins?

I'm predicting a huge game for bort!!

Really?  Because you said this with your other account.

Make up your mind, troll.
The desperate optimism on this site is hilarious.

Quote:If we blow coverages like we did last week, Tannehill will carve our secondary up like a Thanksgiving turkey.

It wasn't really that bad.  There were two times were we really got exposed.  I think they'll be better on Sunday.

I don't know about "desperate optimism." Most of us realize this is a game we're likely to lose, but at the same time we realize the Dolphins are not invincible, and if the Jaguars are able to limit mistakes they just might be able to knock off the Dolphins in an upset at home. The last thing the Dolphins want to do is underestimate our team.

Tannehill, Landry, Miller, Cameron, Stills, Parker, Jennings....... You right. Offense is just like Carolina.

I'm not saying we can't win but this Miami team is better than Carolina and I don't think we matchup well against them.

and yet they won!

GO JAGUARS

Keep the faith, all in!
