I love how they think our fanbase is non-existent. Boy are they in for a surprise....

Can we piss on the 500 that show up? Or is that bad form?

They sure are confident for a team that started 3-10 last year. "We have one of the top defenses" and yet they were in the bottom half of the league in rush yards and points allowed. But according to them, they're some elite team thats gonna beat us 1000-3

No lol but their comments seem like thats what they believe. Acting like its unrealistic to believe the Jags could even score of them and that there was no way we could stop Newton.

They are the loudest bunch of 7 win fans I can recall. And they don't know much about us except we have been bad the past 5 years. This game could go either way, but this is a very winnable game for us. I hate to say I expect to win considering how bad we have looked in years past, but there is definitely something different about this group.

I don't really think many of us believe it's an automatic win. I certainly don't.


Truthfully we are very similar - we both have teams that are better than the other fan base really knows because neither of our teams gets any coverage, accurate coverage that is, in the national media.


I can't speak for the Jags, but the national narratives of us not having an Oline or a secondary are false. All we see/hear is how bad we are because we were 7-8-1 last year. No national media person takes a second to figure out what happened when it finally clicked and we won 4 in a row plus a playoff game. It's easier for them to say that he beat some other bad teams and then dismiss it. What really happened is the Oline became set, Cam had time for the first time all season and the run game appeared because of it. We benched all the terrible vets (who aren't on the team anymore) on D and started our young guys and they were terrific. We held the Cards to 76 yards. I know, I know....Lindley and all that. But 76 total yards, man...that's nuts.


I don't expect any of you guys to care enough to understand why we think we are good. I also expect you all to respond the way that you have. And truthfully, we can only hope our team plays the way they did at the end of last year. If they do then we will be really tough to beat. But with KB gone and Shula still the OC of course it's going to be a challenge.


Like I've said....I only came here to see what you guys were saying about your team so I could learn more. I didn't accept what the national media told me about the Jags because I know how that works.


I'm leaving Charlotte for JAX tomorrow....looking forward to enjoying a nice weekend and taking in what your city has to offer.

I went to their message board yesterday and there fans there that think this is the best Panthers team of all time.  A couple of them even made an argument that their receivers are the best they've ever had.

 

Everyone is slightly delusional to start the season.

Hell, even the odds makers have us as a 3 point underdog

And can we stop pretending that 500+ fans traveling to an away game together isn't a big deal? BCB is taking 1800 Jags fans to Tampa and Miami had 1000 together at the Jets game last year. Those are all big deals and don't happen frequently. These are people who are coordinating these trips so these fans can be together - not just a total number of fans showing up independently. It's impressive whether you want to acknowledge it or not.

I can guarantee you that no one on out board has said these are the best receivers we've ever had. But yes, this is quite possibly one of the best defenses we have ever had. At least on paper. Who knows until they start playing.

Jag fans are nonexistent...at least online.  What a joke.

 

This guy copy and pasted a few responses on what they think the score will be and he called it an article.  I'm shocked there are a couple fans that made a little bit over the top score predictions.  We all know you wont find that on their message board!

I think a lot of your fans are sleeping on just how much better Bortles got this offseason. It's very noticeable. Any Jags fan who doesn't recognize how strong Carolina's front 7 is will soon know what's up. I think this game will be close and the atmosphere at the stadium will be electric. I think you will find our fans very accommodating to fans of opposing teams who do not act like fools. In truth, we are a very passionate, but friendly fan base. Hope you enjoy your visit! If you stay by downtown, there's not much. Head to Kickbacks in Riverside. If you head out towards the beach, hit up TacoLu or the Green Room.

I read it word for word yesterday.  His only argument against it was Steve Smith being on your team all those years.
