Dave needs to make a nice offer.  Cyp, a 3rd and the 6th we got for Scobee is what I would offer.   Chanellor is a game changer the would make this defense much better.  Cmon Dave

I would trade for him no questions asked.

Especially if they actually plan to keep Sample at FS.

I get that too.  I would take him either way.

About anything outside of a 1st or 2nd

I'd trade a 2nd rounder for Chancellor and a pick from the Seahawks.

If Dave could some how pull off a trade for Kam it would be like a early Christmas
Take Cyprien a 4th and 6th we got for Scobee and its a deal. His value is down just because if they have to get rid of him they have no other choice. The price drops. Cyprien and a 4th isn't bad. At least we will have a SS and hopefully we land Ramsey the FS.

Ha! They aren't that desperate. He's under contract for the next 3 years. The Seahawks hold all the cards if they want to play hardball or trade him away.

Kam Chancellor | SEA

(September 5, 2015 4:56 PM EDT)

The Newark Star-Ledger reports the Giants have "serious interest" in Seahawks holdout SS Kam Chancellor.

Considering they have the worst safety situation in the league, the Giants' interest is not surprising. The Seahawks would probably demand the farm for their star safety, who still has three-years left on his deal. The most likely outcome is the Seahawks give Chancellor more money up front while adding a year to his deal, but Seattle is running out of time to get something done.

Dave needs to make this move. We need impact players on defense. I'm almost 99% certain the Seahawks would take the package you proposed. Cyprien will never be Chancellor for us.

Both of y'all need to put down the pipe.
Seahawks won't let go of Chancellor. We'd have to give a 2nd and 3rd, plus Cyprien. I don't think you know how much Bam Bam Kam is worth.

And wouldn't it suck if he came to Jax on a fat contract and just didn't care to play? I can see it all now.

With that being said, he's one of my favorite players and it'd be an early Christmas to get him, but I doubt we will do anything.

4th, 6th and Cyp for Kam ??? You guys are crazy.

Try 2nd and 3rd (or 4th) and MAYBE, they will listen to Dave.
I doubt we have any shot at him at all..... But man... Id give up a third for him easily.

Well they just traded FOR Kelcie McCray so there may be some merit to this
How about a 3rd and 6th we got for Scoobe and Cyprien. Technically Cyprien is a 2nd rounder. A SS can't be worth that much, 2nd and a 3rd?

Here's an opinion question for you or anyone else that wants to offer input.   If the Seahawks said they would do the deal if the Jags put James Sample in the deal instead of J. Cyprien,  would you make the trade?
I'd rather not go after him.  The guy gets a huge contract extension and wants another one a year later, thats the kind of player that can ruin a salary cap real quick and impact negotiations with other players as well.

The other thing is he has a history of injuries, not all have cost him games but he is always playing dinged up.  That kind of thing you get away with less and less with age.  I don't want to overpay for a guy who spends his time on his next team constantly hurt.  Or for a guy who will willingly sit out an entire year because of money.

Cyprien was a better Rookie than Kam.  2nd year Cyprien made more tackles than a second year Kam although less interceptions.  I would rather see how Cyprien plays out his rookie contract.

finally I like Dave Caldwell to have as many draft picks as possible.
