Good thing we have you around to keep us grounded.
Turned the game off as soon as Blake left the game. I've seen enough Henne to last a life time as it is. Bortles looked really good IMO. Wish our WRs could hold on to the ball, but I've been wishing that for roughly 10 years now so I won't get my hopes up. The line looks really solid, only bad play was the free rusher on the overload blitz but that might have been Gerhart's guy. It looks like we will be much improved this year, competitive at the very least. Here is to hoping...

You must be the naive person that we were referencing. Carry on...

Bortles is the guy Caldwell invinsioned when he drafted him. Dude is legit. Climbs/side steps the pocket, throws accurate short/mid/long range passes. Takes chances going deep, does not check down every play. I can go on and on. His receivers need to catch the damn ball.
I think it's obvious Denard and Grant have the kick off return jobs on lock.

That just raises the question, do they keep 5 RBs and keep Pierce? Or go with 4 and hope nobody claims/picks up Pierce, so we could bring him back sometime during the season in case of injury.

Pierce probably gets picked up if he's cut. A handful of teams are in dire need of RB depth due to injuries.
Was waiting for someone wanting to make the team. Unless I was asleep, looks like nobody trying. Grant perhaps?
Our 1s beat their 1s.... That's all that matters

That's what I think would happen also, sadly.

Ideally we'd stash Grant on the PS and let Denard do the kick returns. I think there's zero chance Grant would make the PS though if he's cut. He has flashed enough already at returns that I think he'd get snagged as well.

Bad passing by Eli, his guys were getting open
Quote:I wonder how Henne sleeps at night knowing how bad he's playing

I'm convinced he's just collecting enough money from the Jags so that he'll eventually be able to retire and just run a bunch of franchise restaurants

There isn't enough people in Jax, or anywhere else, to keep a place called Henne's Hamburger House in business.

OBJ wasn't really.

He was quite frustrated by McCray's coverage.

we didn't look great in that time.  no pass rush.

Our offense moved the ball well. Just stalled out too often.

The defense still is getting little rush. HOWEVER, I think it looked good in spots with Odrick back in there.|

I think our starting Dline will fare better.

Odrick Miller Marks Clemons

Then guys like Davis and Smith can just do what they do in the lightning packages and what not.

Miller and Odrick got limited playing time. Clemons probably will be limited in the next one and Marks may or may not be ready for week 1.

I just hope the run defense can stay stout enough until they get it together.

There was an article saying he was frustrated with the "physical, borderline illegal, Jags coverage" lol

I rewatched the game and I think our DBs played pretty well, we got exposed in some underneath zone a bit which has always been our weak point. Man to man we had some pretty tight coverage.

I, for one, am completely fine with physical and borderline illegal.

oh no.... he failed to impress the badger...

I don't know his snap count, but I imagine it was less than 30 snaps.

And he was one of the FEW I actually noticed on the Dline.

lol...carry on

Awww..... OBJ doesn't like physical corners? Can't make all those fancy Matt Jones' one handed catches.

I would be frustrated to if I was touted in the offseason as the next coming of Dez Bryant and then I disappeared in the preseason (against the Jags)

I would be frustrated if my QB couldn't seem to get the ball on target past the sticks.
