Nothing about what he actually talked about, just a fake news site whining because they were called out.

I heard a good portion of it today, when he was specifically speaking about the news media and their honesty (lack thereof).


He wasn't in any sort of escalated tone (the part I heard anyway).

- He first said "A great majority of the public don't believe what you're telling them is the truth".

He was right about that.

- Then, he said "I know what tomorrow's headline will be. It'll say 'Trump Rants and Raves against the Media'. I'm not ranting and raving. But, that's what your headline will say". (He sounded pretty tame when he was saying that today, IMO).


And then BOOM, Here it is:


CNN "Trump Lashes Out" etc etc etc



Man, what a freaking joke the media is.


**I only heard that portion of the press conference. But, what I heard was an honest, candid, toned-down Trump.


There may be a bunch of things that Trump does that I won't like. But, I'm loving the part that he (finally anyone) is taking this complete circus we have as "media" and calling them out on their complete bias and frank dishonesty.


It's about time someone, anyone did that.


Seriously, is the media in this country so dang stupid to not see that many millions of people are being completely turned away from the opinions they try to push because of their ridiculous "reporting" and biased political spin?

But it's cool when Obama jokes about using Predator Drones on boys who are interested in his daughters from a podium? Coming off the criticism of when drones were used in Yemen which killed a family and friends on their way to a wedding? Pot meet kettle.

That was odd and I felt bad for the reporter. It's too bad Trump didn't give him a chance to finish his line of inquiry. I attribute it to Trump simply anticipating another loaded question.

I don't doubt Trump can be effective as a president. However, nothing the guy says comes off to me as "presidential" or sometimes even coherent. Just variations of everything is great with not a lot of explanation. In 4 years,if  he did a great job then I won't care how he sounded.

Basically no matter what he says or does the people who already have been brainwashed into hating him are not going to change their minds.

Not going to get into the pro-trump/anti-trump stuff but from the outside looking in it seems Trump is very clever at managing the media as president. This press conference and the Russia stuff has pretty much taken a ton of the heat off the "Muslim ban", Steve Bannon being on the council etc etc


I'm not sure if they realise or not but it seems to me Trump is playing the media like a fiddle.

Please.  If you think posting a link showing the one guy who would be right at home on MSNBC or CNN who is complaining about the presser is somehow vindication, you'll need to try a little harder.

 

If anything, Shep is hosting an opinion show that masquerades as a news show.  He's no less biased than Hannity or O'Riley. 

 

The truth is if you're a leftist, you hated the presser.  If you're a member of the MSM elite, you hated the presser.  If you're a member of the political establishment in either party, or a supporter of their views, you hated the presser.  If you're the average Joe on the street or someone who actually voted for Trump, it was nothing but red meat.  Based on the fact that Trump's polling numbers continue to rise despite the best efforts of your compadres in the MSM to do the opposite, I'd say his approach seems to be reaching the intended office.

 

Whether you like him or hate him, one thing is certain.  You're watching.  The ratings back that up.   Obama's pressers were about as interesting as watching grass grow.  He'd take a minimum # of questions, and drone on for 10 or 15 minutes stammering through each answer, never really saying much of anything.  Trump stood there and took questions, clearly having a lot of fun with the back and forth banter, even with Jim Acosta of CNN, and the thing just kept going and going and going.  They should put that stuff on prime time TV.

 

I've never seen a press conference end with applause from the gallery.

everybody who is mad probably realize that Trump looked good in the press conference to the average moderate (which makes up most of the population) and they cant stand it.  so they have to nitpick every little word and say things like, "omg the world is laughing at us right now" when they aren't in reality.  

 

in reality Britain voted for Brexit, France wants Le Pen, and Germany hates Merkel.  There are still just a brainwashed few still left that MSM has a stranglehold on.  Maybe one day they will realize they are a mark, but I doubt it.
