Well we know Gerhart and DRob are safe. The Storm, Grant, Pierce battle should be interesting to watch. Grant will probably get the nod if all things are equal due to his ST ability.
I don't see Nic Jacobs beating out Koyack IMO.
I have no idea how he has Tony Washington beating out the other guys.

Why Tony Washington over the other guys?
Seems more like a shot in the dark than anything.

I don't see how Gerhart is necessarily safe. Maybe. Maybe not.

Well Gerhart and Pierce are essentially the same player. Gerhart will most likely get the nod over the waiver wire claim unless he shows out in camp. From what has been said so far in OTA's, both Pierce and Storm have been average so far.
I still think Koyack makes it. I also want to see Marshall step up and earn a spot even if its a very slim chance.

I don't understand why Koyack was drafted I think that pick could have been used elsewhere but I mean its a 7th rounder.
But I hope Storm Johnson finds a spot but Johnson won't win the Jaguars games so ultimately easily replaceable.
Scrolling down to the article about who will be starting..
Hood over Bennett in case Marks can't go week 1?
Not after the hype I've heard.
To the original article...
Washington over Sterling at WR?
Armbrister over George at LB?
huh?
How is RB most interesting? Seems pretty clear that Yeldon will be the starter and that's what matters most.

It's pretty much a foregone conclusion that Yeldon will be the starter. I thought his choice for the bottom of the RB depth chart was interesting. You would think experience, especially in terms of pass protection, might be valued more, but if the team goes with Grant over Storm Johnson and Pierce, it would signal the desire for speed and the importance of special teams.
My changes/thoughts....
I think Bernard Pierce makes it over Grant or Johnson. Grant makes the PS.
If they keep 6 WRs, I think they keep the large upside in Sterling over a mediocre Washington. Sterling will not last on the PS.
Ben Koyack over Nic Jacobs at TE.
With Poz aging and coming off injury, and extra ST coverage, I think they find a way to keep 6 LBs, favoring George to make the 53.
At CB, I favor the developing Rashaad Reynolds over the young Jeremy Harris.
To make the extra roster space, I don't see them going with 5 safeties, putting Loston likely off the squad.

I disagree. I think pass protection will be a higher priority amongst the top 2-3 spots, likely giving Gerhart an edge over Pierce.
In the bottom spot I absolutely think ST will be a major factor. And to my memory, Storm Johnson doesn't due much STs work nor is he a very good pass blocker.

I think you're on to something with the extra LB for STs. Especially given that there is no FB, which I'm assuming LBs and FBs play similar roles on STs?
Colvin will start over McCray in my opinion.
Quote:DMac >>>> Colvin
I think it's a toss up. Different styles and different positions as corners to be honest. One can play the side masterfully and Colvin can shadow his opponet.
It remains to be seen if house can be better than either because he's being made more than both combined.
I don't see Chris Smith being cut this soon. He's the only lineman I've seen in awhile that can accurately predict the snap count
None of The Draft Picks From This Draft Will Be CUT (this year)!
They may be "injured" but NO Way will they be cut until next year.
I just cant see Dave doing that. They drafted them for a reason, you have to really miss on a player if you draft them then cut them before they spent at least one year with you!

Chris smith was cut last year. The only reason he was added back on the roster was branch's injury.

Teams cut draft picks all the time. The only reason the jags rarely do is because our roster has been so terrible for so long.
