Boy it really has turned into basketball on grass. Of the top 60, see all the active or recent names. This is such a different era in football.

Love Brees, but his game will probably take a nosedive sometime soon. He's not alone, as there are several older starting QBs in the league facing an uphill battle vs father time.
It will be interesting to see how well he fares this year without his stud TE.
That could have folks prematurely calling him done, even if he's got something left in the tank, but fewer playmakers to feed it to.

Kane's always wrong about the QB.

I always put him with Brady/Manning and Rodgers as my top 4

Quote:Nah lol,Seahawks went to the SB with Wilson... I don't think Brees could improve that much....
What's foolish that you think the Seahawks are a better team with Russell Wilson than if they had Brees.
Where would Brees be on the Seahawks, and where would Wilson be on the Saints?
Idk if you have answered this yet or not. But I would like to hear what you have to say.
Wilson extends plays with his feet, Brees doesn't really. Wilson has the option threat. Brees does not.
Now... Would Brees post better stats as a Seahawks QB? No.. probably not. In that system they would still lean on the Beast.
Wilson on the Saints, imo, at least gives them an edge to break .500
He makes plays where there aren't. Granted.. the Saints roster is not as good as the Hawks, especially on the D side...
But RIGHT NOW in their careers I take A LOT of the younger QBs over Brees, who has been the most accurate dink and dunker the past 10 years probably.
His deep game has never been overly impressive. What was impressive is that he led the Saints back from the Aints.
He did so with Bush and Sproles bailing him out on a lot of dump passes. And some very good plays from some pretty OK receivers, like Colston and Jimmy Graham.
But to sit there and act like this guy deserves to be considered the top 3 or top 5 QBs RIGHT NOW?
I can't get behind it... sorry.
Even if I am "always wrong" about the QB.

Can you dink and dunk for 5,000 yards?

Only if you're Drew Brees.

Quote:Only if you're Drew Brees.Or if you're one of the other aging QBs that throw less deep balls and let receivers get YAC.
Or if you throw it 700 times... eventually you'll get the yards.
Winning doesn't matter as long as you get that high comp % and all them yards.
Big Ben had 51 less attempts and the same number of yards.
while his YPA was better and he threw fewer INTS and only 1 fewer TDs
That awesome completion % was topped by Romo (in 2014)
Total yards matched by Big Ben.
INTs were lower by a number of QBs and TDs were higher.
You stat monsters can eat my shorts man lol
Brees was a top 5 (and even top 3) QB from 2008-2011
He has never been the best QB.
He is no longer top 5.
It'll be OK.... one day the audacious idea that Aaron Rodgers isn't top 3 will come too.
You'll have to let go then as well.
