This tells me Tennessee will be picking Mariota. If they weren't, he would be talking to the Jags right now.

 

Well, or he's covering his bases.  There is no way to know he hasn't extended the same offer to the Jags on the condition Mariota is still on the board at 3. 

 

But I'm sure the Tacks are at least telling him they are on the fence to take Mariota themselves, if the want to convince teams to up the ante, that's what you'd do whether you mean it or not.

Tennessee supposedly told Philly 3 firsts and #2 was theirs.  That's probably why he's talking to Tampa.  Like I said earlier, we'll see how much of a genius he is at the end of the day.  He made all of these pre-draft maneuvers to build enough value to trade up to get Mariota.  If he winds up stuck with Bradford he's going to look awfully silly.

If i'm him I do the deal, MM is as important a rookie QB going to Chip as any QB in NFL history, if he works out in that system you have years of success, all those picks are worth it. RG3 got that kinda deal and him and the coach in Wash didnt get along.
