Greg Jennings visits Jax - signs with Miami

Quote:To me that reads like Caldwell likes somebody in the mid rounds and in case they don't land that player, possibly Lockett, then they would offer Jennings a contract.

I like Lockett for us he would help us in return game also

Absolutely. He always seems to be open. If you put him in with Julius then they would dominate the middle of the field.

lockett would be really nice to have. hopefully he continues to fly under the radar.

Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

An additional major benefit with Tyler Lockett on Special Teams is he has a track record of being a very high caliber Gunner.

With Lockett's versatility,  skill sets,  and intangibles,  I think it's at best 50-50 he even lasts to the 3rd Round.    If the Patriots keep pick # 64 and Lockett is still available I think there's a very realistic chance they draft him in that spot.

That's a type of player that Bill Belichick and Tom Brady look for in their Offense.   On paper,  it seems like a natural fit.    The added value on Special Teams is more than enough of a reason for Belichick to draft Tyler Lockett.   Even as a rookie in what is a complex Offense to learn,  I think Lockett would be a major part of their Offense.

thats what makes the patriots great. i think the jaguars are on their way. if things remain as they are with the coaching staff and everything we will start to see trends from our team.

like the way bradley seems to have a knack with corners and getting the most out of defensive players.

who knows, but i would really like to wind up with lockett at the right spot.

The consistency of the Patriots in the way they do things,  yet having the flexibility to adapt certainly has put them in an elite class.

I think the Jaguars have made plenty of progress in building up their roster and like you mentioned Gus Bradley has a good track record of getting a great amount out of his Defensive personnel.     If the Jags add an impact player in the Front 7 on Defense,  I think it's going to take the overall unit and individual components to a noticeably higher level.

If Tyler Lockett was available with the Jags 3rd Round pick,  under most draft scenarios I think he would be a good choice in that spot.

agreed. id like to see defensive impact player taken in rd 1(barring trade down)

rd 2 - BAP, RB, maybe maxx williams, maybe mckinney

rd 3 - lockett

A draft of Dante Fowler Jr. ( or your choice of potential impact Defensive player ),  Tevin Coleman,  and Tyler Lockett would certainly look promising.

South Beach and NO state income tax can be very appealing to rich young men.

It's hard to compete with those 2 things.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

An additional factor is Dolphins HC Joe Philbin was Greg Jennings' Offensive Coordinator in Green Bay.    Unless the Jaguars were willing to way overpay for Jennings,  the club faced an uphill battle to sign Jennings with the Fish in the mix.

The Dolphins moves as of late just scream desperation to me. It just feels like they are throwing dollars around for any hope of a playoff win before the teams window closes. Of course, all teams hope for that, but in any case... They've had some good pieces in place at times, but just can't seem to get it all to work in sync. I'm fine with the smart spending Dave is doing.

There is a Lee's here in Richmond that just can't be beat. Ain't in the greatest part of town, but it's worth stepping out of your comfort zone a bit.

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

Some of those places thrive in those parts of town.

I wonder why?
