I believe that the left is simply a set up to make a religious right that we have never seen before in America. While I can agree with what your saying about blanket narratives, it is fair to say the events of the last two weeks and the unwavering support of political and standout figures on the left don't paint an all encompassing picture? I have not read or heard even the slightest of contemplation of withdrawal from anyone or any group left of center. So your saying this is just a highly vocal minority? Whether it is or isn't, ownership is implied, just like the left would subject the right to. Part of the pain of labels. Should there be a sliding scale? The thing is, it would appear that the "racist, bigoted, self indulgent right" is actually trying to push forward for America regardless of the speed bumps and label darts from the left. Political posturing versus action. I'll take identification with action for the greater good anyday. Feel free to toss labels as they will be forgotten when the left squeaking wheel falls off.
