NFL threatens to investigate violations of negotiating-period rules

#1

What did they think would happen with the negotiating period?

it started with Suh and jumped to the Eagles.  After that the flood gates opened.

It's not like the teams are announcing it.  The players are making the announcements and "sources".

Given the NFL didn't look at the Ray Rice tape that was on their front desk, I hardly think owners need to worry about the NFL looking too hard as the FA transactions.

NFL: And if we find teams guilty, we will give them a sternly worded letter.

Except the Jags.  We'll take draft picks from them.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

I don't know what makes you think the violations are reports about teams offering contracts. Obviously the violations are the actual contract offers and everything being unofficially a done deal.

I sense 32 wrist slaps coming. The NFL offices can't set a three day window to discuss the parameters of contracts, but then become appalled when teams talk actual deals.

I don't think all 32 teams are doing it. As we have seen in the official thread, many tweets are not really news from reliable sources.
