Cedric Ogbuehi has a torn ACL

#1

Was considered a potential top ten pick going into the year. He did not play well this year after moving to left tackle. Combine that with the NFL struggles of Joeckel and Matthews, his stock was already starting to slide. Now add in an injury that could keep him out of the 2015 season. Would not be surprised to see him available in the later rounds. Could be a guy worth taking a chance on if there in those later rounds.

I was just about to make this thread.

I'm thinking he's a great target for a 3rd-4th round pick.  If we can get a solid RT in free agency and have Ogbuehi redshirt in 2015, that would be a nice addition to our team.

I'd be shocked if he falls into the 3rd or 4th though.  I'm guessing a solid team takes a flyer on him in the 2nd.

This is a deep OT class and there was some talk among scouting circles that Ogbuehi would fall anyway.

There should be quality OTs taken well into the middle of Rd 4.

Remember an ACL will keep Ogbuehi out of action until the middle of next year.

Ogbuehi is soft and needs at least one year in an NFL weight room.

Much like Joeckle, the ACL will set him back on his upper body development.

I think he falls into the 4th Rd and would be available to the Jags with their Rd 4 pick.

I thought one of his big strengths was his mobility, that's got to be an issue with this sort of injury..

If he is there in the 3rd-4th round, we should snatch him considering he was a 1st rd prospect in the beginning of the year.

He was already falling, but as an RT I think he still has a nice future. If he does fall further than expected I wouldn't be surprised if Dave did another Aaron Colvin move. If Trent Baalke doesn't do it first that is.

Is it not a red flag that the last three supposedly elite left tackles from Texas A&M have all been a disappointment? Joeckle was suppose to be a sure thing, he has under performed, Matthews had the name and talent to be even better and he was terrible. Now, even before the injury, Cedric really regressed and I believe I read that he was suppose to be the best of the three
